I first went to the "Everything I wanted to Know" section of this thread and read that SOMETIMES you can change your TS credits to CS.
We will be on the Free dining plan in Aug. and I have not made all of my TS ressies. I was curious if anyone has had recent experience w/ converting the credits.

There are times when a sit down dinner does not fit into out plans. last yr. we went to Raglan Road. We had intentions of doing sitdown, but the wait was very long. We opted for the CS as we were planning on getting the fish and chips anyway!

Just wondering if this is done.

Recent experience probably won't be of much value to you, since it is typically free dining, itself, that changes the flexibility that Disney offers. In a few weeks, free dining will start. Then we will start getting our first view of what Disney will and won't be offering in terms of flexibility in the use of credits. Guests really need to go into free dining expecting no flexibility, since that's what Disney promises, and any flexibility you get is a bonus. :thumbsup2

Well I will be one of the first using the free dining. We check in the day it starts!
I did inquire w/ CM at WDW-Dine and she said, "no".

So now my next question:" Can you get TS meals to-go?"

Can you get TS meals to-go?"
Officially? No.

If the restaurant is slow they may allow it. But don't count on it. It almost is never allowed at a theme-park restaurant. And the resort TS restaurants will be packed during free dining, so it's very unlikely you'll find one that will be able to accommodate to-go orders.
