Any DVC'ers going in July?? When and WHY?

We went during July 4th week in 2005 and LOVED it! Yes its hot and crowded but as long as you stay hydrated and take breaks you'll be fine. Have fun! :thumbsup2

we'll be there the same time- from july 27 thru july 31
We always go in July and yes it is crowded. Yes you'll have trouble finding a lounge chair at the pool, unless you go early but it doesn't bother us because we are in the pool the whole time anyway. There's plenty on time to lay on lounge chair at home-that is not what we go to disney for. We usually reserve one day for relaxing at the pool-getting up early and getting a lounge, but other than that we swim in the pool for a short break each afternoon and don't need a lounge chair for that-I can't see throwing my things down on lounge chair if we are swimming when someone else wants to use it to relax. Just bring a waterproof bag for your stuff and you can put it down anywhere and not worry about it getting wet.
The slide is great, the sand bottom ,the beach area, the moat, the whirlpool, the hot tubs, the waterfall in the pool--WHO NEEDS A LOUNGECHAIR??
The parks are crowded-you'll need fastpasses.
Just plan ahead and you'll have fun

We'll be at BCV from June 29 through July 10th

We have been to Disney Word in July many many times. It's Crowded but the key is to get to the parks 30 mins. before the park opens. Sometimes they let you in early if it is very crowded. You NEED to use fast passes!! But it is nice because the parks are open late. We take a break in the middle of the day and go swimming. This is our first year in DVC. We are staying 6 nights in the Beach Club Villas and 6 nights at the Animal Kingdom. we are going July 20- Aug 1. Have a great time! :yay:

We will be there July 11- 19th at the BCV and AKLV!! We go every July except our plan is different. We hang out at the pool durring the day and head over to the parks about 3ish. being at the parks from 12 to 3 is just too hot!!

We love July at Disney. We were married at the Wedding Pavillion in 2003 and usually go the last week in July lapping over into August. However, this year due to work restrictions we are going July 13 - 18. I snagged a GV at OKW. I have since changed jobs and we could change our dates and be at WDW for our actual 5th Anniversary  on July 29th however, I am not about to give up that GV.

By the way I booked the Segway tour at Epcot for 9 people. I am so excited it's a suprise for everyone.

We go every year for the 4th and will be back this year from July 4-13. We got AKV:banana: ! Fast passes...Fast passes...Fast passes....drink lots of water and take an afernoon break.

We just had to reaarange our plans today and I haven't changed my ticker yet----but we are there for 19 nights in July! Can't wait! 11 nights AKV and 8 at OKW...It is hot but just pace yourself and do EMH and swim during the day...it is great

We will be spending Aug 2 - 9 at BCV for the first time as owners. We plan to do the water parks and sit by the pool, and not do the parks on this trip. Can't wait.

Going down early on Thurs 7/17 for just 3 n at AKV then take off on Sun 7/20 for back-to-back cruises on the Wonder! 5 months, 1 week to go!

We will be at VWL in July. I'm a teacher, so I have to go when my breaks fall. When I retire, we'll probably try to avoid that particularly hot time of the year! :)

Last year we were there the end of July, first of August. This year we are scheduled to be at VB 7/4-7/7 and OKW from 7/7-712. It will be hot and crowded, but as others have said, do some good planning (go early, leave, return later in the day and use fast passes wisely) and it is still a blast to be there with the family. Always been in the south so the heat is nothing new.

We will be using our membership for the first time from 7/2 - 7/7. The reasons are 1) 160 developer points to use, 2) My daughter will already be in Florida visiting Grandma and one of us flies down to come back with her anyway, 3) 5 day trip while only taking 2 days off work. I realize it will be crowded but we plan on not going to the parks on the 4th (maybe a water park). The remaining days we will be up early and take advantage of EMH, go back to the resort and pool in the middle of the day and then return after dinner. Also take advantage of the fast passes!

We were there last July, and the crowds weren't as bad as I expected. We never waited more than 20 minutes for any ride.

We're going there from July 22 - Aug 5 this summer. Heat doesn't bother us at all. Actually it will be COOLER there than here in South Texas!

Defintely lots of sunscreen and water. Try to head back to the pool during the afternoon heat.

We will be there July 6-18. One week at BCV and one at BWV.
