Any DVC members use the DLR AP discount?

So we've gotten AP's at DLR the last few years with our $20 DVC discount, but we've upgraded from tickets at the booth. Want to buy our new AP's for this fall's trip TODAY since prices are going up, but we're not at the park. :sad1: Does anybody know if one can use the DVC discount to purchase the AP vouchers for DLR online or on a phone?
I spoke with DLR ticketing, they said they can't sell any AP vouchers, DVC or regular over the phone that's only on the website. I called Member Services they said they can only sell the WDW AP's not the DLR ones ... The online Disneyland ticketing site where one buys the AP's has no place to input a discount.
I asked MS if I could buy the regular DLR AP's today and then take the vouchers and ask for my discount when we activate it, and she said "It's worth a try!" but other than that .... anybody have any ideas?

lilpooh108 tried to do this in person and wasn't able to, so I'm guessing you couldn't do it online either. I also didn't see anyway to enter the DVC info and just bought for today's prices. That's still cheaper than the new price with the DVC discount on all passes. (see post #126 in this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2737785&page=9)

These price increases are getting out of hand. How much are they going to bump up the AP price after Carsland opens?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just do the same and buy the AP at today's price. At least I'm not alone ... :rolleyes1

Taaren--saw you post on the other thread. Don't feel bad about not buying APs when you were there. DLR doesn't sell AP vouchers, only tix. So they would have been activated when you bought them and for your later trip. If you buy the voucher online you can't apply the Dvc discount.

I'm still going to ask when I redeem the voucher. They'll probably say no, but there's nothing to lose.

Nope, you are definitely not alone ! I have spent at least 4 hours dealing with this today, trying to find a way to buy a DLR AP. I can't believe how they can't make it happen online, how ridiculous!

So are you going to buy the DAP and try to buy the PAP with the $20 off? I think it ends up costing us more anyway due to the price increase?

I am about to go online and buy the regular priced PAP. Waaah:sad1:. Did you buy one or more than one?

The $50 increase for an AP at DL is crazy! Before discount $329 to $379, which is a 15% increase.

I don't think I'm going to go up to the PAP since we usually don't use the Blockout days ... and if we did have to, buying one for $50 is still less than the PAP since we don't use parking staying onsite on points anyhow ...
I will, along with the donut be asking for my discount when I redeem it at the ticket booth in late September. Fortunately we only had to buy 2 for me and the DH since DS's is good through the 4th day of this upcoming trip then he's heading off with his grandparents. Still :headache: on both having to figure it out as well as on our CC since I just made our last cruise payment and bought our flight tickets home (there was a good sale I was afraid to miss) ... hadn't been planning on buying the tickets until late July/August in order to spread out the pain ... oh well. Band-aid ripped off now I just have to figure out which fund I'm going to borrow from to pay off the CC in full or let the cruise payment ride at 0% for a month ...
Thanks for the sympathy all and good luck to everybody on getting the discount we're promised anyways! :grouphug: Its nice to have the DIS on days like today.

It is quite a bit higher isn't it! Still cheaper than buying park hoppers for 2 visits though..I'm too far out to renew, so guess just need to suck it up and have a few less churros.

5 3/4 churros should cover the DVC discount at least. ;)

Interestingly, because of a post on the DL board I actually looked at the voucher today. On the phone they told me it would be good for a year from the date of purchase, but the actual voucher says it will only be good until 12/31/11. We'll see what they say on Monday, but we may be going down in December.
