I know occasionaly disneyland.com will have deals for southern california residents as well as other tourist...they haven't had anything ontheir site for quite some time..anyone know of any deals for a 1 or a 2 day hopper pass?? or know when disneyland will have em? thanks!

I got a postcard in the mail with great dl hotel rates. Unfortunately, it has a pin code and we just went about 6 weeks ago so it isn't in the cards for us.

The current S. Cal deal is $99 for a 3-day hopper. You can pick these hoppers up at Vons or Safeway.

What do you call a great rate? How did you get on the mailing list to get postcards?

99 dollars for a 3 day pass is good...but how do i get it? just go to vons? is it only vons in cali? do i have to show id? last nov i went to Ralphs to pick up a discounted ticket to knotts berry farm thats only good for so. cali residents..however they never asked my zip or my id...i used to live in cali and have family down there...do i need to show my id or any vertification? i live in las vegas now so do i have to purchase tickets in cali at their vons?

The ticket is only distributed in SoCal for locals. You find them in the store where you find all the other tickets/gift cards on display. Another store in that group which sells them is Pavillions.

Do they ask to see ID? Well, I have a SoCal annual pass and I've always had to show ID when entering. I'd hate to budget for then spend $99 per person in your group and then find out they ID...but I imagine they would let you upgrade to a regular ticket. I think "Be Prepared" is what the boy scouts suggest. Good luck.

i purchased so. cali residents for knotts berry farm at ralphs back in november of 2007...they never checked id at the store nor at the park...not sure if D-Land does it differently..

but if they sell them where they keep all the other gift cards/amusement card tickets, i'm sure they wont ask for id at the store..just not sure at the park..but maybe i can always say i bought them up the street, didn't reliaze they were only for locals.

Okay, first of all, Knott's is a considerably lower standard resort than DL. You can get away with a lot more there. DL has much higher security and they WILL check your ID if you purchase a soCal ticket.

And even if you flat out LIE and tell them you "didn't realize they were only for locals" they aren't going to compensate for your incoherency and they will make you pay for new, full price tickets anyway. Disney doesn't negotiate when its the customer that has made error.

And if you can honestly consider lying to get into Disneyland for a cheaper price, than you are completely demeaning the spirit of Disneyland itself.

Just bite the bullet and pay the regular price.

Just a FYI: There have been a few threads here recently as well as on other sites where people from outside the S. Cal area have used these passes successfully and were not asked for id at either the point of purchase or the turnstiles.

But still, how anyone can go to DISNEYLAND, of all places, through dishonest means is beyond me. And for those handfuls who have made it through dishonestly, there are those that haven't.

Bottom line, it is NOT worth staking your trip on saving a few bucks, especially considering the $99 park-hopper deal is for THREE DAYS and you only want TWO.

A two-day park hopper bought HONESTLY is only $132.

My advice? Don't take the chance of saving thirty bucks and getting disappointed at the gates if you can't get in dishonestly. For thirty more bucks you can feel secure--and you can keep your integrity!

okay so i emailed Disneyland and asked basically the same question, if i go purchase the tickets at vons (the summer pass) will i get carded at the gate and also ask if i have my friend from so cali buy the tickets and if they check id can we just use his..this is the reply i got...so she didn't really answer any of my questions, seems like more of an automatted thing but it looks like my friend or any one in so cali can buy up to 8 tickets for their guests ...and then it says (which i didn't catch before) Identification may
be required for admission. hrm

I just called disney and asked if my friend from southern california purchases the summer fun pass from the store, and if he joins us in our group, can we just use his id to get in? he said as long as someone from s. cali buys the tickets from the store , and he doesn't have to be in your group ,u can get into the gate. He says they simply don't have time to check id so its not enforced whatsoever and they wont check it at all.

BINGO! I keep trying to pass this information on, but many of the S. Cal people get all riled up and think it's cheating. Obviously, it's not. :goodvibes
