any Disers from Sheffield - help needed

My son has to swim at Ponds Forge, Sheffield this month and I have booked 2 nights at the Novotel, 50 Arundel Gate and wondered if this is walking distance from the pool as I really did not want to have to drive into the centre of sheffield on a Saturday and search for parking, I hoped to leave the car at the Hotel and walk, but if it is too far to walk will probably get a taxi. Thanks
