any discounts for end of December?

Are there ever any discounts for the end of December? We'll be there from December 30th till January 4th. We have a reservation for a package right now, but prices seem really pricey even just for a moderate room. The fact that from Jan. 1st on is value season, I would think that our package price should be cheaper, but it's not. Any one got any advice or tips on how to get a lower price during this time of the year?

There's never really any chance for a discount between Dec. 26 - 31, and the rack rates are unbelievable. The best advice I can give is to not do a package but instead book two room only reservations, with the second reservation checking in on January 1, so that you can get MUCH better rates.

Last year WDW released discount codes that included Christmas and new years. They sometimes do if travel is down, so keep checking!

Oh and are those codes just for rooms or packages as well?

Actually, I don't recall any discounts being available after the 19th of December. Ap rates ended on that date and as I recall public codes had all expired by then. The AP rates that were next available started either on the 1st of 2nd of Jan.
