Are any really hard to get still???

I remember hearing in the past that CRT was next to impossible to get unless you got up at 6am. Are there any that are still like that??

Ohana is still hard to get as is the Tusker House breakfast at Animal Kingdom.

Le Cellier can still be hard, especially the one credit lunch. Second week of January, a few weeks back I only found 2 availabilities for the duration of our entire stay.

How difficult is Ohana dinner to get? We would like to go here for dinner on our next trip...I will be up early to make our ADRs first thing, 180 days out.

You should be able to if you do first thing at 7am at your 180 day mark. After that, don't count on it.

Hi I agree with OP I called at call line opening on the 180 day mark and got everything I wanted including Ohana and Cinderella. Now we are going down Mid Sept. So Im sure that helped.

We're going the last week of July 2012. Hopefully we will get it...if not, I'll be sure to have a back-up choice! :thumbsup2

Ohana dinner is #1 now. (at least before 9pm or so) (as a note, Ohana is the most popular reservation for those who responded to the September ADR thread. I only know that as I was bored and created charts in Excel based off of the list that I'm keeping :p)

CRT has been slightly easier for awhile (since they added princesses to dinner). It's still up there, but not nearly the crunch it used to be.

Le Cellier Lunch is up there, #2 or 3, dinner is a bit easier now since it's 2 credits.

Cali Grill around fireworks time is also up there (though earlier ones are a bit easier)
As mentioned, Tusker House pre-opening breakfast is right up there.

Chef Mickey's is still tough, especially earlier breakfasts.

And Fantasmic packages are also moving quickly, though if current trends hold, there will likely be more shows opened up closer to your travel date.

If you don't find what you are looking for at 180 days, keep trying. We decided 90 days out to book a trip POR for Oct 8 - 15th. I have been hoping for Ohana and it must be my lucky day - I just found an 8:10 resi that fit perfectly with our dining plans. :cool1:

I have been trying to get a 8-9 am breakfast at Tusker House for weeks. I'm about to give up - we have a 10 am already but I really wanted something earlier.

If you need a hard to find ADR, look no further than the Disboard's monthly Cancelled ADR threads. DW and I have worked these Cancelled ADR threads with great success in the past.

Go to The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com > Disney Trip Planning Forums > Disney Restaurants > Disney Dining Reservations. Each month has its own Cancelled ADR thread.

'Ohana and Chef Mickey's were so hard to get on our last trip. I finally got them for super late times and they were the two worst meals of our trip. I won't ever go back. Service was horrible, food was subpar. The only time I have ever left no tip and complained. Both times the manangers wanted to refund our DDP credits...but there was no point, we wouldn't be able to use them (had too many as it was). We just won't be visiting these restaurants from now on.

Great info, thanks! Do these trends hold up even in the summer with no free dining going on?

I've never had a problem getting Ohana, Tusker House, LeCellier, CRT, Fantasmic packages, etc. for the 2 trips I planned 5-6 months in advance. There was sufficient availability at 150-180 days.

But having planned three trips with only 3 weeks-3 months in advance, I can tell you that those are not the only ones difficult to get once you get closer to the dates.

I gave up on Crystal Palace breakfast - nothing open between 8:00 and 10:30 am. I finally booked lunch, but now I'm not so sure about it, so I may cancel it. But, it may have to do with timing. We're going Columbus Day weekend (October) and the Crowd Calendar is calling it an "8," so I'm sure it will be plenty packed.

Coral Reef - we've always enjoyed but it gets some pretty terrible reviews here. I can get an ADR, but it's for much later than what I want. Same with Tutto.

Just out of curiosity, I also checked Chef Mickey's and no availability there either.

I ddidn't want to eat at Teppan Edo, as I've had plenty of teppanyaki throughout the 5 or 6 places I've lived in and don't consider it special, but I decided to try out of curiosity and it was either 4:40 or 8:45 pm. None of those are good dinner times.

Of course, we're getting close to the dates.

People cancel, ADRs open up all the time. Sometimes even more than one option opens up. So, if you don't get a "hard" ADR, do not give up!
