I guess I missed the deal at Walmart last week :( Any one know of any other deals on the Epic Mickey game? DD really wants this and I'd love to surprise her with it. Thanks

Both walmart.com and amazon.com are offering it for $39.5X. Amazon has no tax most places. Free shipping if you have amazon prime. Thats the best price Ive seen this week. Doesnt come close to the walmart price error from a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks. I finally convinced myself that $40 is better than $50 :lmao: and since it's a new game I know I'm not going to find any really good deals so I just went ahead and got it from Amazon. She wants it so much, she's even searching the ground everywhere for change every where we go so she can save enough to buy it herself. Can't wait to see her face when she opens it Christmas Day

I see that your DD is 7. Is she used to playing adventure type games? I hope you considered that before you buy it. It's a pretty dark game and I wouldn't recommend it for beginner gamers. I've been playing the game and it's actually kind of creepy. I don't recommend it for children under 8 because it's got some really dark themes and the music is pretty unnerving. Unless she's used to playing dark games or RPGs, I don't think it's an appropriate gift for a 7 yr old. JMO.

Yes, she's been playing Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter with her dad for about 3 years now. She has also seen all of the movies numerous times. Thanks for your concern though, a lot of people don't pay attention to game ratings :)

I totally disagree. It is rated E-everyone. My DD7 will be getting/playing this and I have NO reservations about it. No it's not sunshine and lollipops, but inappropriate??? I wouldn't og anywher NEAR that far, and i HAVE played the game. Do you have a child, or are you basing this on what you THINK is ok for a 7 year old becuase i just cannot see a problem here. If anything I think that the ESRB is TOO strict in thier ratings. I have seen many games rated 10+ that really don't need to be.

Well, you know your child better than me. I'm not saying she's not going to play it, but it's definitely darker than I expected. Especially during the it's a small world part.

didn't mean to start an arguement :sad1: was just looking for a deal on a present for my dd. Sorry :(

Oh, the Lego games are awesome! I play them on my DS and it's just so much fun. I was actually really surprised with the game myself. I didn't think it'd be as dark as it is.

not trying to argue at all, I just wanted anyone who would readit to know that I have a child that age, have played the game, and wouldn't hesitate to let DD play it.

My DD goes nuts every time she sees the commercial and talks about it non-stop. I told her she probably wouldn't get it for christmas but I was really hoping I could make it happen. Thanks for your input. I know she's going to love it!

it's a great game. Like I said, not sunshine and lollipops by any stretch, but not disturbingly dark. My DD plays the lego games too, and I think this one is a little tougher gameplay than those, but still doable for a 7 year old with some patience. There will definitely be a learning curve there for my DD. My DD is very excited to play it as well. I got the $34 deal at wal-mart that came with the remote. I have played a couple of times with a friend (childless) who got it when it came out.

TRU has a deal this week buy any two games from a list and get a 40.00 gift card. Epic Mickey is one of them. My husband just got back from picking up Epic Mickey and Halo 3. Came to 35.00 a game since Halo was 60.00. But if you pick another 50.00 game you can get them for 30.00 each after gift card. They are also running another deal where if you buy two games from a list you can get a 25.00 gift card as well. We did this one last night we got Mario 25th Anniversary pack Wii and Yogi Bear for the DS. Came to 17.50 a game after gift card. Today when he went back for the others he used the 25.00 card toward that purchase. We are going to use the 40.00 toward a Toy Story Lego set for our son for Christmas.

I paid $43.99 for it though Amazon last week - free shipping on a $25 order using super saver shipping. You don't need Amazon Prime to get free shipping.

Best Buy has a deal where you buy 2 Wii games and get a $30 gift card. I tried getting Epic Mickey and Kirby's Epic Yarn last week at TRU with the buy 1 get 1 50% off but couldn't find both in stock.

I got them both at Best Buy yesterday and got the $30 gc.

Good luck!

And you can call Best Buy and they'll hold the games for you- TRU won't do that.
