any CUTE walking shoes?

I don't want to go all over these lovely places in Europe always wearing my sneakers - especially if I want to wear a sun dress or something. Has anyone found a line of comfortable/ supportive shoes that don't look awful?

Something like a ballerina slippers look but with support? Or cute sandals? I used to LOVE Josef Seibel sandals, but last time I looked, they were all big and clunky looking again....

I really like the Privo line by Clarks. They are supportive and comfy, and some are downright adorable. (Some are clunky, though...)

I can't tell from your tag if you're in SC now, but they have great Clarks outlets at the Myrtle Beach Tanger malls.

Lands End and Athleta have also come out with some cuter walking shoes.

For slightly less cute, but still cuter than sneakers, look into Merrills.

I really like the "Barefoot" style one and I've just notice a few other styles I just might buy.

I'm planning on wearing them during our Viva Italia trip this month.

I also wear Dansko's (their sandals) and can walk all day in them. I wore them all around for our Knights and Lights trip. http://www.dansko.com/

Corky, I have just purchased a pair of Merrell's barefoot running shoes. I've been wearing them around. I will say that you have to get used to the barefoot style, and there is absolutely no support and no cushion. I'm finding that I can do without the support, because they sort of change your stride, but I do miss that cushion! If you're going to get them, be sure to wear them A LOT before taking them on your trip. I'm still debating if I'm going to bring my pair on our trip.

I love my Dansko sandals - I like the clunkiness as it can help walking through puddles, or mysterious liquids in markets.....

Clarks, Merrills and Keens have been mentioned. I've traveled the globe in my Keens, they are bit clunky with skirts, but not awful if you get a lighter color!
A great place to find all of these is: Footsmart. Just about all the shoes there are comfort first styles, but many look really nice too!

Not true at all. All women in Europe do not wear heels, although older women often do. They do tend to wear more formal footwear (i.e., not sneakers), except for the young, who often wear sneakers, even white ones.

I like Keens myself.

I usually wear 8-hole Dr. Martens boots (blue and black), Teva sandals or simple black leather ballerinas with 1 inch heels

"Women" my age often wear sneakers. Unless they work in a bank

I just bought a pair of Crocs recently that I hadn't seen before (new style??).
They are not your average "clog" looking shoe. They are a slipper shoe and in leopard print! Sooooo cute and comfy. Can't wait to wear them on our trip!!
I kept debating on what shoes to bring and wear. I didn't want tennis shoes and I didn't want flip flops. This was a great compromise because they go with everything and can handle the wet rides and dry nicely because they are vented at the toes.

Last year we were in London a week and then a week in Ireland ABD....I wore Merrel barefoot style tenna shoes, and TOMS shoes. They both worked out great, very comfortable. The TOMS were a black crochet that I could wear either casual or dressy.

I love Naot! I've worn my Naot Alyssa sandals for 2 trips to Disneyworld, and a trip to NYC & Boston, during which many miles were walked. My feet were tired but not painful and blistered like they have been in the past with other shoes when I've had to do lots of walking. If I'm going out to take the dog on a long walk I'll wear my Naots, not sneakers! They are super lightweight and really attractive. In fact, I've gotten many compliments on them. They look great with shorts, jeans, or sundresses.
I will never buy a different brand of shoes for walking again!

Wolky. They are a dutch brand with a website. Shoes are wonderful. Have a special footbed that is SO comfortable. Mine have carried me from one end of Japan to the other, Scotland, Italy, you name it. They have an amazing variety of styles! Have fun! I'm originally from Georgia, so I truly understand the need for "cute shoes" lol.

I swear by Walking Cradles, they are pricey but comfy and they come in some really cute styles.
