Thinking ahead to my DD18 graduation party. She is an athlete in high school playing on the Varsity Soccer, Basketball & Track teams. She has a ton of medals from winning league, divisions, and regional championship games/meets. I'd say she has close to 30 or 40 medals from all 4 years of high school. Does anyone have any neat idea's on how to display these at a graduation party? Something better than just laying them all out on tables? You guys are always so creative. I know I could maybe research on pintrest but I'm at work and it's blocked and I never seem to have the time at home. Thanks!

What about shadow boxes? Get the coupons for michaels from the Sunday papers

I did a shadow box display for my son with a medal and award certificate for his geography bee. Not sure it would be practical for as many as you have. I also bought a painting canvas and covered it with fabric. I hung pictures and medals on it. He is only a freshman so he has hopefully more to come

When we had DD's grad party - we hung all of her medals from kitchen cabinets. Specifically the cabinets above the desk area, as we wouldn't be needing those cabinets during her party. Some of the ribbons weren't long enough to "get around" the cabinets, so we "literally" used a rolling pin, strapped the ribbons on it, and put the rolling pin in the cabinet, so those ribbons hung from the bottom and the other ribbons hung higher up.

That is a great way to add some nice touches without spending a fortune on "graduation" decorations.

I don't know if this would help for your party, but this is an idea I came up with for my DD. She is a competitive gymnast and I didn't know what to do with her medals. One day I thought of making them into a valance. Maybe you could put your DD's medals on some kind of spring rod or curtain rod and hang it up in or doorway or on a wall or something? If that doesn't work for the party, it's an idea of what to do with them afterward!

NICE IDEA!!!:thumbsup2

If you have an artificial Christmas tree, you can hang them on there. I've seen it done and it looks beautiful. Or if the party is outside, you can hang them from trees outside.

Make your own medal holder out of driftwood, or any wood. Add pegs made out of medal coat hooks, pencils, or items from the sports she played.

Do a google search for medal racks and there are many great ideas out there.

Good luck! :artist:

This is a good idea. We are having her party at a park but I'll keep this in mind I might be able to make it work somehow.

Anyone else have any idea's?
