Any current OBCs/incentives for signing onto DVC on DCL?

I'm just weighing options at this point. My guide said the DVC people on DCL have something extra he can't offer and actually recommended signing on on the cruise if we were inclined to be signing up right now.

Of course, there are really nice resales at the moment but I'm not sure if we could get the loan amount I'd want through resale SO I'm trying to come up w/ a game plan. Meanwhile, I was wondering if anyone had heard recently what the incentive onboard might be? I didn't see anything on the dvcnews.com site. I apologize for bothering if it was there and I just couldn't see it. I saw the regular incentives currently going but wondered if the "extra" the guide spoke of was an OBC on board the ship. And that's not talking about the random drawing for those that attend the DVC sales schpeel onboard.

The DCL DVC incentives can change for each cruise so there is a good chance that even your Guide doesn't know what they will be.

Historically the cruise incentives are better than what is offered at the Preview Center at SSR.

We "drank the Kool-Aid" last week, aboard Magic. We bought 160 at BLT. They offered $10 off pp at AKL, SS, and ???? So $112 was being sold for $102 I think. BLT price was $120, with only a 5$ pp discount, so we got them at $115 per. We of course got lanyards, hats, a door magnet, a HUGE canvas tote, and a leatherette travel doc portfolio. I teased DS8 that Daddy bought a $19,000 magnet He was very impressed!

We "drank the Kool-Aid" last week, aboard Magic. We bought 160 at BLT. They offered $10 off pp at AKL, SS, and ???? So $112 was being sold for $102 I think. BLT price was $120, with only a 5$ pp discount, so we got them at $115 per. We of course got lanyards, hats, a door magnet, a HUGE canvas tote, and a leatherette travel doc portfolio. I teased DS8 that Daddy bought a $19,000 magnet He was very impressed!

Sounds like the $30 (co-pay) Saf-T-sucker my son got when he conned me into taking him to the Dr. a few years back. He was fine.

Sounds like the same discount basically that they are showing right now on DVCnews.com . Hmmm, I might get spontaneous but if it's that kind of "incentive", I think we'll try for a resale contract since we're probably going to get SSR to start and add on AKV when we can.
Time will tell!

Here's another little tidbit to add to your research info...the guides don't offer this unless you ask, but new members can purchase 100 points at AKV or SSR as their min. buy in. Then you can add on either by resale or Disney as you want.

That would have saved us nearly HALF!!! I really wished he would have told me he wanted to do this on this trip, I would have researched here, first. Cest Le Vie

Funny! My husband and son tease me about my $17,000 tote bag I bought...(the one you get with your membership information)....but I always remind them that THEY TOO will enjoy the many years of vacations ahead of us!!!
