We usually go to 50's Prime Time Cafe for lunch, but this time we are going for dinner. Is there any counter service at MGM that you would recommend?

Thanks.

Not sure what your family likes/dislikes are so here's a couple:
Pizza Planet or Backlot Express for the "non experimenters"
and ABC Commissary for some different menu items.

We've always had good food at the market style fast food down by ToT and the Beauty and the Beast theater. The stand we ordered from had burgers, chicken strips and fries. There was a nice fresh fruit and fresh vegetables stand there.

The best thing in MGM are the Turkey Legs. Trust me!

We hate both the backlot & the commissary! LOL!

We try not to eat at MGM. :) The turkey legs are ok.

The ABC Commissary is the only counter service place I've tried at MGM. The food was really pretty good.

We always dine at Pizza Planet. It's not the real thing but it's satisfying and tastes good. Add a salad for the adults and we're good to go.

We don't do burgers very often so it's nice to have an alternative. We love eating outdoors there when we visit in November. It's a great spot to people watch and of course, we love Toy Story.

We thought the Comissary was awful! We won't be returning. We tried Pizza Planet & it was OK - nothing great, but we could return someday if we need to.

I think MGM has the worst food selections of all 4 major parks. Hollywood & Vine at lunch was our meal to eat every trip, but now we don't have that to fall back on anymore, either. We will be there next week & will avoid eating at MGM. We will go on early entry morning & leave the park for lunch.

The fish and chips at the ABC Commisary was great.

In 2000 loved ABC Commissary, but tried it again last trip and wasn't as keen. Went to Backlot - this was OK and quiet compared with other MGM eateries at that time.

But..... the food at MGM was fabulous compared to the Studios at Disneyland Paris - what a disaster - food not good - service terrible.

Catalina Eddies (pizza) and Rosie's (burgers, chicken) over by the Fantasmic and Beauty and the Beast theater have always been good for us!

We like the turkey legs, baked potatoes & foot-long hot dogs from the "Turkey Leg" place across from the Beauty & the Beast show. Also have had good luck with the pizza/salad combo at Pizza Planet. Other than those things, it's popcorn & Mickey Bars at the Studios for us!

The fish and chips and ABC Commissary were very good. I also love the tuna sandwich at the Backlot Express.
