Any chance for Big Thunder closure pushed back?

I'm heading to the World at the end of August and I am disappointed to hear that there is a planned closure of Big Thunder from August to October. Do these closures always go ahead or is there a chance it may get pushed back.

There's always a chance, but don't plan on it. Plan your trip knowing that you can never guarantee you'll get to do everything you want.

I wouldn't count on it. It was already pushed back once this year, as it was originally supposed to go down for refurb from April to July (someone can correct me if I am wrong but those are the months I remember reading when it first came out).

Yea don't count on it being pushed back. It was already pushed back and has been scheduled for months to be down later this year

I looked at all the closures for when we are going and I was too disappointed that Big Thunder Mountain will be closed when we are there. but I am also happy that the others will be open.

Ditto. It was scheduled to be down in May when we were there, and then a few months before they changed up the dates. I don't think they will push it again.

My family is bummed both BTMRR and IASW will be closed when we go in August. BTMRR is DD's favourite ride, IASW is my son's favourite.

I know it is scheduled to come back up November 18th. I assume there is a chance it may be opening the week before as a soft opening? Planning a trip November 9th to 14th so would love to ride it at least once.

Nvm just looked it up, Aug. 8th. Phew, have FP for 2 different days the week before. I am bummed to be missing Dinosaur at AK tho!
