Wow what a great price!
How much per point was that?
I noticed that the highest price per point that a DVD member pays in 2009 (for maintenance fees) is 6.50us I think, so I figure anything over that and they are making money on their investment, so I'm looking for cheap points.
I doubt you would able to get it for $6.50 a point. Don't forget DVC cost thousands to get in plus the annual maintenance fee. I always used up my point. But if I ever have any extra, I rather let in expire than give it away for $6.50 each.
I don't expect to get it for 6.50. I'm just saying that that is what the highest maintenance fee is per point.
I do understand that the buy in price is also another expense for the buyer.
All I was meaning is that there ARE members out there that dont mind selling for cost or just above (I've been told) because its better than letting them go to waste. At least your getting your maintenance fee back.
For those that have been members for awhile, after several trips, they have pretty much "paid" off their buy in price (taking into coinsideration what they WOULD have spend on those vacations as opposed to what they did), am I saying that right?
So yeah, I know its not common, but there are people that do rent for just above cost.
I agree with what you are all saying in terms of expiration of points rather than renting them below average rent rate... however, I don't think she was necessarily asking for a hand out. There are many people looking for a deal, she just asked.
I believe that DVC is a priviledge that we pay for so our families can have easily obtained vacations and life long memories... I think someone expecting to make a deal or even hoping for one, rubs some the wrong way.
I feel like is being flamed a bit for an inquiry... I wanna feel the love people..![]()
