We are a family of carnivores. What can I say, we love a great steak.
Anyway last week we were visiting an Amish market outside of Philly and brought some steaks that were "grass feed" "hormone free".
Now I'm going to admit, I have not paid alot of attention to the debate, I'm pretty much a "what's on sale" type of gal but this steak was heaven (and I cooked it, moi who is notorious for over cooking steak).
So I've been looking at my local shoprite and acme but neither of them carry it. nada Should I try a whole food store? The Amish market where I picked up this one is too far. Am I asking for the wrong thing?
Where do you pick up "grass feed" beef?

I have to add so salt, pepper and steak sauce before you can get a flavor. this steak was not.
so I couldn't argue those points but if I went on flavor alone. The steak I got from the farmers market wins hands down.
). A farm near us used to deliver it right to our front porch with our milk, but they have since stopped delivering to our town. I miss it.
Most of the cattle in MN are grass fed already.
