Any bets on how upcoming sailings (post-Dorian/ 9/7 onward) will be changed?

I thought some of the Southern itineraries go to CC. They may just double up then. I was on a Mexican cruise where there was a mass cartel execution right near rhe tourist ares in Mazlatan and DCL just decided to eliminate the port and go to Cabo twice.

You are right! I have just been on the Southern and we did go to Castaway !

They must have changed it for next year then. We had a Southern booked for next Jan. and it didn't include CC. One of the main reasons I changed it was because the rest of the family wanted to go back to CC. Hopefully they will have some more Southerns in the future that include CC because I'd love to go on one.

Many of the excursions are run by vendors from the islands surrounding Castaway. Right now, they have no homes. So even a stop there, if possible, may not include excursions.

Not that those excursions always ran anyway. Out of 7 visits (6 where I could get off the ship as we remained at the dock but gangways got closed due to a tropical wave the first stop of my Double Dip in July), only ONCE have I not seen cancellations when getting off. And those that were running were cancelled by midday.

I didn't know it had gotten close to St. Thomas. When we did our Eastern earlier this year, there was still damage on Tortola from last year's hurricane.

Yeah, it hit both USVI and Tortola, but only as a tropical storm/Cat 1. Most of the Eastern track destinations (besides San Juan) were impacted. No idea if they would change the routing completely--seems hard to do, but people may be less upset (than if none of the destinations have excursions/beaches).
