Any benefit to DCL ground transportation from hotel to Port of Miami?

We're looking at staying at one of the hotels in Miami where we have the option of DCL ground transportation to the Port of Miami. Our hotel wouldn't be booked through DCL because we can get a much better rate booking ourselves.

Are there any benefits to using DCL's ground transportation from the hotel to the port instead of taking a taxi/uber to the port?

Thanks!

Well if there was a bus issue that caused you to be late the ship would wait as late as possible. Whereas you are responsible to get to the port on time

The DCL bus is very comfortable and features a welcome video & cartoons. Good for the kids and puts you in the Disney mood before arriving at the port.

We used the DCL transportation in Miami from the Conrad (we also booked our own rooms as we got a better rate). Another benefit is that they pick up your luggage from your hotel room and take it to the ship for you. The next time you see it will be outside your stateroom. Very easy and convenient.

We took a taxi and were able to get to the port of Miami earlier than the bus and it was the half the price of the bus.

Miami is not a port where DCL transport offers an advantage. If your staying there overnight, it's only a cab ride away. The only advantage I see is the handling of your luggage. We only have one bag each so it's not worth it but if you do not travel light or are in a large group, it might be worth the extra cost and limitation on your arrival time control.

We like to take a cab to port if we don't have our car with us.
I like to get to the port as early as I can, and with the bus you're on their timeline and schedule.
We did DCL transport once on our Hawaii cruise, it was from Aulani to the port. We didn't arrive until closer to 1pm. We are Platinum and have early ship access, so 1 was late for us.

We stayed at an airport hotel, took the free hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The next morning we took a cab to the port. Very easy and we are able to go at our own pace. We did use the DCL transfer from the ship to the airport at the end of the cruise- also easy.
