My DH & I just purchased a home that has a nice big fenced in yard for our spoiled 3 year old Beagle, Beasley. The past couple of mornings it's been chilly (about 30 degrees) and I have to practically drag her butt out the door, and then she doesn't want to walk in the grass. She just stands on the cement and shivers and gives me a sad look.
Everyone at work I tell this to can't believe that a Beagle doesn't like the cold, I guess since they are usually hunting dogs.
DH & I were thinking of buying her a doggie sweater for the cold mornings (she has a winter coat for the snow). Does anyone else do this or is my dog a big wimp?
And does anyone else think the sweater is a bad idea?

. She's a complete pansy. I have to physically push her out the door if it's cold or wet. I think she's been outside once today -- it's been raining most of the day. She's a bit on the hefty side, so I don't think she's cold. Just doesn't like to get her little pitty-paws wet. We've never tried a sweater for her... when it's cold she stays out just long enough to do her business, and then comes back in.
