Any AP renewer's that can help answer??

I have called several different places and of course rec'd several different answers. The ticket office is closed today as it is Sunday but I would like to have a better idea...


we have:
FL resident seasonal passes (annual) which are up for renewal in Feb.....06 - we of course, planned on renewing.


as a gift we got:
Florida resident annual passes (paid full amount for, not renewal rate)


I thought we could upgrade to PAP's for a minimal amount since it was my understanding that if we upgrade it would be at the RENEWAL rate not at the regular full price. And since the tickets were purchased at FULL price it would make the difference that much less.

Today I am talking to a CM and they said since my dad paid the full price rate I would have to pay the full price rate of the PAP's....which doesn't make sense to me. ???

I think the CM is right. You didn't get the renewal on the APs you are trying to "upgrade" you got new ones so the upgrade will be the difference between the new AP price and new PAP price.

but had he not purchased those we would still be renewing our SAP's anyway. Can I exchange the AP's at all?

also - say we went to upgarde this year and then next year downgrade, would we pay the renewal rate or the new rate? I guess I am going to call the ticket office tomorrow.

Of course I called the "ticket" number today but seems only the actual places at the theme parks will be able to answer the questions...
I simply asked first about renewals and upgrades and YES - if we upgraded to a PAP, we would only pay the renewal rate.

I am hoping that they will use the cost of the AP vouchers for this.
