We will be staying at the All Star Sports Resort. Anyone else stay there and have a revue?

Thanks:bounce:

My family (DH, DS 6, DS 3, and myself) stayed there last fall and loved it. We were in Bldg 10 (football sect.) on the 3rd floor and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Close to both pools, not loud and close to the food court (which had good food). The laundry facilities are also close by. Bus transportation was great. CM's were wonderful and very helpful and friendly. We are trying out the movies this fall (because of DS) and hope our stay will be as wonderful there.

I just returned from staying at the All Star Sports last week. I
must say I was very impressed with the place especially after
reading a lot of negative reviews. You will really enjoy staying
here. We stayed in the baseball section where the quiet pool
was. The room was very nice and comfortable. The maid service
was excellent. It wasn't too far a walk to the food court. The
food court had a wide variety of foods to choose from. My son
just loved the place and can't wait to return!!

We have stayed there several times. We love it. I suggest the tennis building or the baseball building. They are a little quieter. The football area is a fun playground. The food court has a great selection. You will really enjoy your stay.

We have stayed there twice. Once in May of 2000 and in August of 2001. We loved it!!! The pools are spacious with lots of chairs. The food court had a great selection, gift shop had some neat stuff esp for boys or tomboys...Our son loved the themeing here.
Refillable mugs are a good value at this resort as you can refill up til at least midnight or maybe a little later. And the food court is adjacent to the main pool so if you need a drink while tanning its very close by. This is not so with some of the bigger resorts. Rooms are small by very nice. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Any questions email me directly if you want

I was on the football field and loved it. It was close to everything. My son preferred the smaller pool (the one farthest away from the food court). The only thing is that it gets a little noisy on the football field at night. However you can still fall asleep with the noise level (if you are tired enough). I wanted to stay at the Sports when he go again but my son wanted to try the Movies. You will love the Sports.

I've stayed there twice. It's fine for what it is - a motel. If you plan to sleep there and do little else at the resort, it's a good place to stay. The food court is excellent, as is the bus service.

The rooms are tiny. My small family (DH, myself, 1 DS) felt claustrophobic after a couple of days. The pools were absolutely packed and there were tons of kids running wild.

I'd stay again if I got an excellent rate, but only for a short trip.

We loved it! Have a great time. Lots of good advice and revues above.:)

It also might depend on when you go. We were there in late November of 2000 and loved it. The pools (of course) were not crowded then, but were heated and felt great! I would stay there again without giving it a thought.

I just came back from a week long stay and have only good things to say about AS Sports. The room, while small, was clean and well kept. The bus service was reliable, the food court was above average, and the price could not be beat! If I were a family of 4 or 5 and my kids were old enough, I would stay in two all-star rooms over 1 moderate any day.

We stayed there last June, and LOVED IT!

We actually liked it better than CBR! You get your bang for you buck that's for sure!

Sweet rooms with lots of Disney Touches.

P.S. We stayed in the Baseball section...and loved it! we had our own pool!

ok i will be the bad guy lol or girl....i did not like it,i thought it was like being at the parks 24 hours a day with no place to switch gears. The worst thing was the wait to check in and the looong walks back and forth to our car, so from then on out i have stayed at a mod or up .I live in florida so they always have fl codes that are nice.oh it was as sports at 49.00 a night.

Lets see.....I have stayed at Sports a Total of.....6 times IN A ROW!!!:D I have stayed in ALL of the buildings except the Football/Baseball one! You will have a Blast and will save MEGA bucks by staying there!;)

We stayed at the AS Sports 2 years ago after having stayed at AS Movies and AS Music previously. I lowered my expectations somewhat since it was the oldest of the 3 resorts. The room we had was in great shape and the food court was just as good as the other 2 resorts. So AS Sports was a pleasant surprise.

We, too, have stayed at ASSp & love it. We are a family of seven, so we need 2 rooms. The last 2 times we were there, we stayed in Surf's Up on the first floor (would you believe in the exact same rooms!! Purely coincidence!) It was fun b/c you open the door & there's the pool, food court, etc. Personally, we like staying where there's Disney enthusiasm 24-7! We just tried off-site over Spring Break-Never again! We just bought into DVC, but we are actually planning to stay at the All-Stars next summer since we're using points towards a cruise. Have a great time-Oh, we really enjoyed ordering pizza and having it delivered to our room. It was pretty good & fairly reasonable (for Disney:p ) and we enjoyed having a pizza/pajama party at the end of a busy day!

Our family just returned a couple of weeks ago from our first stay at ASSp. I was worried about some reviews I had read, but we were thoroughly happy with everything during our stay. Rooms were excellent for the $49/nt we paid. We had a great location in the Football section, away from the noise of the big pool, and close to the food court and baseball pool. Loved the food court, great selections and values. Definitely had a good time.

We just got back from our first stay at AS Sports. My boyfriend was so impressed he said he doesn't even want to think about staying anywhere else next time.

I requested a smoking room with a king sized bed. We were given a room in one of the Surf's Up buildings ( free upgrade to a preferred building :D ). Not only did it have a king bed but also a refrigerator!! Before our trip I was thinking about getting the refrigerator ( $10 per day) but decided against it.

The food court was much better than expected. They have everything from sandwiches to steak. We both purchased a refillable mug and we got more than our moneys worth out of them.

The rooms were a little small but that didn't bother us at all. The vanity was outside the bathroom. I liked that because the mirror didn't fog up and I could do my hair and makeup while BF was taking a shower. There were 4 dresser drawers and a few shelves by the vanity. We had plenty of room for all of our things.

As soon as we got there we pushed the housekeeping button on the phone and asked for an iron and hair dryer. It took only 3 minutes for someone to bring them over! Now that's service!

We were located on the backside of the building and we didn't hear any noise at all from other rooms or the pool. The pool was a little crowded sometimes, but it looked like all the small kids were supervised and there was always a lifeguard on duty.

The bus service couldn't have been better. We were the first to get picked up so we always got a seat. And we were the first to get dropped off. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. We went to a couple other resorts for various things and often waited 25 minutes or more for a bus! One night at the Swan I waited 45 minutes for a bus!

I think I covered just about everything. We were very happy with our stay. I was really shocked that BF like it so much because he is hard to impress.
