Just asking because last time we took airtran we had a flight that was to leave around 7:00 a.m. and get in ay 11:00 a.m. for that reason we booked a night at the contemporary thinking we would have all day to relax there. But a couple weeks before our flight they changed our time and we didn't get into our room until 9:30. Paying $430.00 fo rthat night really urked me. I like to book my flights ahead of time so I can start making plans around it. Are there any airlines that are good with keeping there original flight times?

Southwest tends to make their schedules available late, but generally don't change times much once they've made the scheduled available. All airlines that make their scheduled available early will change flight times quite a bit, especially prior to four months before the flight, after which changes will be quite minor. It is very rare to experience what you experienced (a flight time change only two weeks before a flight).

I've flown JetBlue around 15x and have never had a flight change more than just a few minutes. They emailed me when this occured (once!) and gave me the option of changing my flight. I think they are a great airline.

Just an example of how great they are. My husband was scheduled to fly out of LaGuardia Airport this past November. For weather related reasons, the flight was canceled. JetBlue bussed all the passengers to JFK Airport and put them on another flight. My DH met me in Orlando and was only 30 minutes later than his previously scheduled arrival time. I think they are fantastic and did a great job rescheduling everyone. Also, when they were on the flight, they gave all passengers free pay per view movies and a complimentary drink.

Sorry I got a little off topic there :)

SW is the only airline that has never changed my flight time. The only delays I have had with them is weather related........lightening storms, foot of snow, etc.

Note that this is the flip side of SW not booking flights more than a few months in advance. When SW opened up their post-March 9 schedule, they moved a lot of flights and times around. Their daily NS from BDL -> LAS was changed from afternoon to morning for instance. But since they hadn't sold any tickets yet, nobody's flight got changed.

Another vote for Southwest. My scheduled flight times have never changed. It's occurred relatively often on USAirways.

We have had very good experiances with JetBlue. May 5mins on either side it will change and you get emails and you do not lose your seat assignments. We love flying JetBlue.

I fly Jet Blue and never had my times changed

You didn't arrive until 9:30 at night? Since you had several weeks' notice, I would've dropped the first night at the Contemporary and stayed elsewhere. Wait a minute...you paid $430/night for the Contemporary????? :confused3

Hands down SOUTHWEST! Once a schedule is posted, only mechanical or weather related problems will cause a change.

PLUS, SWA has the best customer service in the books. We flew on 12/6 from DTW to MCO with a change of planes at MDW. Our flight from DTW was held for over an hour due to ATC gate holds at MDW. We landed when our plane was due to take off. Bless SWA's heart! They held the plane for us...for 20 minutes AND our luggage was on the flight!

Thanks for all the responses!! Looks like it will be SouthWest or Jet Blue. Hopefully they have the dates open for next October. I am very anxious to get my planning started - that is so sick - I just got back November 02!!!

As you would expect, neither of the two airlines that change schedules the least actually allow you to book flights early. Sorry, but no, neither Southwest nor JetBlue have dates open for October yet.

We have a choice between booking early and being very much subject to changes, or booking late and having less of a chance of that.

Just checked times - SouthWest does not go out of Milwaukee at all!! :rotfl2:
Lots of Midwest or Delta options!! Does anyone know if booking with Expedia will cause any problems? Never worked with them before.
