Any Adam Lambert fans?

Hark did I hear someone say Adam Lambert? :rotfl:

<snip> Now I am osessed.

I went to the concert in Cleveland ack on 8/23 <snip> .

Well, at least you aren't obsessed enough to switch to Adam's spelling of "Cleavland"! I heard that Cleveland was one of his best sets (and, lucky me, Rosemont on Wednesday was also!)

I totally understand - I have NEVER watched idol before. I was tired and flipping stations looking for something "mindless" and decided Idol fit the bill. Then I saw Adam sing Satisfaction and the rest is now history!

My DH will be pleased to know I am not the only one who is obsessed.

He used to think it was cute, but now he's over Adam, I try not to talk about him around DH. It's difficult.

When the album comes out maybe he'll at least listen. I went to the 7/28 Tampa show, so amazing! But Cleveland and Chicago were epic.

:cheer2:

Adams pics look good.
I just wish there was one pic of him smiling, he has such nice teeth darnit!

I had the same thought with those Sebree pics. They are gorgeous, but I wish just one was a smiling face pic bec he has a fabulous smile. I know one moment I loved every week on AI was the moment when he finished his song and went from this fierce performer to this smile of a boy who's hoping the audience liked him. Here is one candid pic taken from an AI interview in which he has a nice, natural smile:

I wouldn't say dh is 'over' Adam but he was never as into him as dd and I are. (He's not going with us to the concert tonight and did grumble a bit at the cost of tickets. So sad, too bad.) However, he did shock me one day during the season when he -- who never pays attention at all to reality show relationships and what not -- turned to me and asked how long Adam and Kris had been a couple and wasn't it quite the year for AI when you have not one but two openly-gay contestants and they are in a relationship while on the show? When I scraped my jaw off the floor from the shock that he had any opinion on the matter whatsoever and told him that Kris was married to a woman, he was incredulous. Still is, actually and is convinced that one day there will be another Rolling Stone interview with Kris. LOL

I try not to talk about him around DH. It's difficult.
I work reallllly hard at not talking too much about Adam. Recently, my dd realized that I talk about Kris as a way to talk about Adam. FOILED! :rotfl:

My dh thinks my 'interest' in Adam Lambert is highly amusing. (He has shall we say benefitted from it, so should shut his trap.) Any whooo....

Our concert is tonight. Our as in dd and myself. This morning dh opens up a Netflix envelope and holds it up to me saying, "Here's a sign about your day." And the inside of the envelope is an ad for something with the headline, "ADAM."

So before he goes off to work, I remind him that dd and I won't be seeing him until about midnight or so. Conversation ensues:
Him: "I won't recognize you when you get back."
Me: "What? Why?"
Him: "Your hair will be all bushy and white."
Me: "What crack are you smoking?"
Him: "Your hair will be all white because like Moses, you'll have seen your god."
Me: "Har de har de har."

:lmao: I actually read this earlier while at work and had to hold back and not laugh out loud. I hope you enjoyed the concert.

Caricar - my DH is also highly amused! He keeps claiming I have regressed to being a 13 year old :cool1:

I think he finds it so funny because this is so TOTALLY not my normal personality.... I didn't even have crushes on celebrities when I really was 13! I totally skipped that stage - when all the other girls were obsessing over Donnie Osmand, Shawn Cassidy, Duran Duran and such, I just didn't get it at all (Yes, I think I just gave away my age - mid 40's :rotfl:)

Can't wait for the first single (maybe there will be 2 - one from his album and one for the 2012 song?) and the Album. I am so happy that he is excited about the album - there was a fox interview a couple days ago and when he starts talking about the album he just lights up :thumbsup2

I admit I had some crushes on a few celebs when I was a teen (mostly hair band guys and Matt Dillon), but I don't remember ever being so giddy about any of them. I don't think it has anything (or at least not everything) to do with his looks. I mean he is a very handsome guy....okay, he is smoking HOT!...but something about his voice just does it for me. He can literally sing any type of song and sound good. I really, really can't wait for his CD to come out. (I just hope I don't have my hopes up to much and the writting stinks.)

That is so funny! I don't think Kris is in the closet or anything, but he isn't a Manly Man to say the least. :lmao:

Adam had a "Twitter Party" on Friday night. This was one of the exchanges:

Question:Brian May is raving about your song for 2012. What kind of sound is it?
Adam's Answer: Classic rock ballad.Earthy and catchy

I guess that confirms that there WILL be a song for the movie 2012?!

It's looking that way! Meatloaf gave Adam a great compliment as well.

( I think the timeline is all in the same week of Brian Mays comments. Brian May apparently was with Meatloaf doing a track on his album and Rob Cavallo produced the 2012 song, so they likely heard the track. )

"I'm in the middle of a record now with a Rob Cavallo, who is like the god of producers at the moment. He's doing an Adam Lambert track, and I'm going over to meet Adam. Adam Lambert [of "American Idol" fame] is the only singer that I've ever thought was amazing. I think there have been great singers, you know, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, you know, a lot of great rock singers. Michael Jackson was one, but Adam Lambert is one I haven't been awestruck with since [Janis] Joplin in the '60s. I don't think anybody actually comprehends how good this guy is. I mean, I downloaded everything he did for "American Idol." I'm like this Adam Lambert groupie."

I hope both Adam and Kris will have the songs on their albums available for listening first on their websites.

I listened to Daughtry's new album, all of it, on his website and liked every single song on it so bought the CD.

If I like Kris' and Adam's CDs I'll buy them too. I'll probably lean more towards Kris though, especially if Adam's has too much of that high pitched screeching. I'm too old to "appreciate" the screeching!

Read on another board that there was a commercial about Adam being on Oprah, I'll post when I know more!

Looks like false alarm.. sorry, got my blood pressure up too. I'm still hoping the first big talk show is Ellen, she loved him!

Well Adam's is definitely not going to be like Daughtry. I am expecting some dance songs, some pop/rock and a few ballads.

Can't wait!

So who bought the Time For Miracles single off of iTunes already? I know I did! And a lot of other people because it is sitting at #11 already! :woohoo: He sounds wonderful on it!

I did and I have already listened to it more than I car to admit.

Has anyone seen the music video? He looks really good.

I have seen the video and he looks awesome.

Have you seen the pictures from Detail magazine? OMG! :smokin: (That is all I can say.) But he really looks a lot like Elvis in the ones that are kind of 50ish.

I read a review/preview on a couple songs that will be on the album and the reviewer was just gushing over how great the songs were. I will note that she wasn't totally found of Time For Miracles, but was really liking the album tracks. All I know is iTunes better be ready for all of the downloads that will be happening as soon as they make his album available on November 23rd. I know I'll be waiting not so patiently to get it! I don't know that I have ever been like this with a CD release before. Excited yes, ready to stay up until at least 1:00 in the morning on a worknight? no. :woohoo:

I've been watching AI from the get go and I have to say that Adam Lambert is probably the first Idol that will get me to buy their album. I've loved everything he's done. He's simply incredible. I got so sad when I didn't have AI to watch anymore last spring. I looked so forward to seeing what he was going to sing each week!

And a small Adam Lambert story: my cousin took her 4 year told to the AI concert in Phoenix earlier in the year. The 4 year was super excited to see her favorite idol, Adam. She called him 'the fancy man'. I just found that so darned cute and appropriate :)
