OK -- Proud parent moment that I needed to share (as I have not had time yet to finish a trip report from our 3/23 Magic cruise)! We sat in Row G, seats 6, 7 and 8 for the Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer Show on our cruise (8:30 show) and the second contestant called was my DD CASEY (age 5-1/2)!!!! A tip I learned from these boards was to sit to the side of a row with some empty seats as if they call an empty seat, they go to the next filled seat. Seats G1-5 were empty and (my memory is a little fuzzy), but either Casey's seat was called or one of the empties was called. I sat her to my right so if the computer picked an empty seat she would be picked -- AND SHE WAS!!!!! She (I was up there with her, but she was the contestant) made it to the $125 question (having answered 5 questions correctly), so she took home an $80 credit. It was SO EXCITING for her!!!! She is a shy kid, so it may not have been clear to the audience, but she had a ball!!!! :) She wants to try again next cruise --(Guess that means we have to go back! The questions got hard very quickly, but I thought she did a great job! (I could go on forever about it, but I'll stop now......)
:D :D

You should be proud and excited for her! Great job for someone so young. If she hadn't known the answers, would you have been allowed to help her? What kind of questions do they ask? Again - she did wonderful, lucky little girl!

Yes. I was allowed to help her. We actually disagreed over one answer and Jacqui the host had some fun with that -- which movie had the march of the pink elephants in it -- she insisted it was B. Jungle Book and I kept telling her it was D. Dumbo (the correct answer) -- so we used a life line to settle the dispute -- and the audience agreed it was Dumbo. When she wasn't sure of an answer, she would look to me, but most of the time, she answered on her own. When asked which movie the character "Aladar" was in, she actually whispered to me that she didn't need help on that one before answering D. Dinosaur. It was very cute! I was the one who blew the final question -- which actress has never been in a Disney film -- A. Jodie Foster, B. Shirley MacLaine (the correct answer), C. (I forget) and D. Angelina Jolie. I guessed D as it didn't register in my brain until after we sat back in our seats that Tomb Raider was a Disney film (Buena Vista Pictures, I think). Anyway -- it was a fun experience for her!!! :D
