Anxiety and DAS

She has daily medications but I'm not sure what she takes. It was just so disappointing. Felt like Disney is happy to help people with obvious limitations but even when she could specifically state what she needed, she was sometimes supported and sometimes met with a flat-out "no," which of course wasn't really the final answer as we learned from talking with supervisors/coordinators.
I don't think lorazepam is a daily med - it's been prescribed to me for "high anxiety" situations like flying in an airplane and waiting for a biopsy diagnosis. It nips a panic attack in the bud, so one doesn't have to depend on the whim of others to make it through the attack or for me, avoid one.

Staffing has a lot to do with what can be offered outside the standard DAS. If there isn't enough staff to escort down a hallway, then they can't just let you go. Staffing has been off at WDW since the pandemic. Supervisors and coordinators don't always know how an attraction is staffed at every moment. Part of it is the "reservation system" which they think means they can short-staff some parks and attractions to save money. It's not the staff at the attractions fault, IMO (and from talking to CM friends) it's the policy of the money makers at the management level. Not enough staff - and we got left at the back entrance to BTMRR for half an hour in the sun to prove it - makes it nearly impossible to go off from a position.
