I tried searching for this answer before posting but could not find what I was looking for.

The short of the question is, when I order my AP via DVC member services am I able to get my voucher number at that time?

The long explanation is, we are staying at OKW Nov. 26-Dec. 3. But, for two days before we are staying at Pop from Nov. 24 and 25th. I'm going to be purchasing AP's anyway but I was just thinking about the way the new AP's work w/ the 120 day window for getting the AP rates. I'm at 125 days and I definately need a voucher number to reserve the rooms at that rate. This is why I'm wondering if I get the voucher number at purchase.

Thanks for your help.

I don't think MS can give you the voucher number. But AFAIK, you can call Ticket Services and the CM there will be able to give you the voucher number. You have to wait about 2 hours before the number is in the system.

The number for Ticket Services is 407-566-4985. Hours are M-F 8:30 - 4:45 and S 8-4:15. Closed Sunday. Be prepared to sit on hold for a while,. Sometimes they are very busy.

Best wishes -

The APs are actually processed by a different department and they are somewhat random, so there is no way to get the voucher number until it arrives in the mail. You MIGHT be able to pay extra to have it expressed mailed, but I don't know if that's an option anymore or not.

Thanks, CarolMN, for taking the time to find that information for me.

So, even though the number is random, as married@wdw says, once I'm in the system (about 2 hours after I purchase them) they will be able to give me the number right over the phone, is this correct? Have you had to do this before?

The difference in rates at Pop between AAA discount and AP discount is about $15 per night so about $30 in savings overall if I book with an Annual Pass but I'm in a time limitation now. I was just going to get them as I got closer to my trip (and had more readily available cash) but I'll take the money out of savings and purchase them now if I can get that number. If I can't get the number well then, I might as well just wait.

Thanks again!! :wave2:

I haven't actually had to do this myself, but I read that you can.

That said, I tried to buy the DVC discounted pass over a weekend earlier this month. Never made it to the point that I got a confirmation number. I was worried that my credit card was being charged (more than once because I tried a few times) and I didn't know if my order was processed. Only wanted one AP right now.

Anyway, I called Ticket Services twice - once a few hours after I tried the first 2 times and once on the next day becasue I had tried agin to use the online system to buy the DVC AP. I got very nice CMs both times who looked in the system and said nothing was there for me. One said she could have seen it if it were there. So I believe that you can get the number. I read someone else's post that you had to wait two hours to be sure it was there.

I think that the "randomness" comment just means that the CM who takes your order over the phone can't give you the number, because she/he doesn't get one back and there is no rhyme or reason to how the voucher numbers are assigned. But once the transaction goes through, the people in Ticket Services have access to the details of your order.

So anyway, if I were you, I'd go for it - but just buy one right now. You could wait to buy the others. If you don't want to pay the mailing charge for the second order ($3), you could wait to buy them until you arrive or ask for will call option. You only need one voucher to book the room under the Best Rate Program.

P.S. I recommend buying the DVC AP over the phone by calling MS. That's what I ended up doing - got disgusted with the website. It just didn't work right. Called on a Monday and got the voucher on the following Friday. That turned out to be quicker than the CM said it would take.

Just wanted to add that yesterday, I used the voucher to book a room at the CSR under the Best Rate Program. Had to consult MouseSavers though to figure out how to enter the number to get on the Passholders' website. Thanks, Mary!
