Ants!!!

I hate ants! We got them last year at lakewood, myrtle beach. We had to spray, clean, spray! When we got home, clean out everything, spray again. My husband ususally sprays wheels and openings etc., before they start but it didn't help last year. :confused3

We left Loop 700 yesterday and I found an ant on the dashboard as we were leaving so I was not shocked (only grossed out) to find ants in the kitchen this morning. YUCK ... and we are stranded in Tampa without a car so I'm not sure how we will treat them ...

So if you are headed to FW, take some ant killer stuff with you!

Also to get rid of ants permanently you need bait. Spray only kills the ants you see. They take the bait back to their nest and it kills all of them off. The best brand to use is Terro.

Around my house, I sprinkle instant grits near ant beds. Never on it, just around it. They will take the grits back inside the ant bed. Once the ants eat it, it swells up, killing the ants. Plus, I don't have to worry about the kids or dogs coming in contact with commercial ant killing products that may be unhealthy for them.

:thumbsup2 The fewer chemicals the better.

Snopes.com claims scientific study that says Grits do not kill ants.
