Good Morning!!

As I move into the magical 50's of my live I notice my face and skin are changing and not as smooth or elastic as once :lmao: :lmao:

Not good when the skin is pulled and doesn't move back in place:rotfl:

What products or cosmetic lines do you think help with anti-aging?

I have been using Olay products but wonder if there is something better out there?

Do we need to spend lots of money to look young?:confused3

Thanks and as always have a Magical Disney Day!!

Mary Kay Time Wise line of products. It's not much more than the Olay stuff (if at all) and works fabulous. I swear by it. Getting old stinks but it beats the alternative!

Ditto on the Mary Kay-I will add that I'm a rep, but I used the products extensively well before becoming a rep.
Great stuff!!:goodvibes

There are some really great websites that have lots of reviews of all of the products, but Avon and Mary Kay rarely make the list. I tried Mary Kay because I had friends that raved about them and they did feel good for a little while but my skin broke out, I did research and found that was common with MK. They have lots of stuff that feels good on the surface but not for long term. I like Philosophy products personally. They always make the top products for Allure and they use great ingredients. Sephora will let you return products that don't work.

I like the Oil of Olay products, especially the Regenerist line. I use the night Regenerist product during the day as well. I found that the Olay products work as well for me as the more expensive department store brands. I also accidentally discovered that my eyes look much better in the morning if I take a benadryl (actually the store brand) the night before. I ok'd that with a doctor.

Me too! But I signed the contract because I was too cheap to not take the discount:lmao:

Seriously though, my skin does not like the anti-aging cleanser and moisturizer from MK, so I mix and match throughout the line using the basic products as well. Start trying different products in the line you are already using. Like shampoo and conditioner, facial products from the same line are made to work together. You may find another cleanser works better and you can keep the moisturizer already in your collection. Also try adding an anti-aging "syrum" before your moisturizer. Most companies have them. They are like vitamins for your face.

Prevage MD....I get it from my dermatologist. Its expensive, but it works wonders on all those lines and wrinkles! I have tried everything, and its the only thing that I think has really worked. I also use Olay Regenerist products after I put on the Prevage MD.

Anyone else???????? I need HELP!!!!

Well, OT somewhat, but ground flaxseed and salmon. Not directly on the face. :rotfl: ;)

Honestly, miracle workers. It's unreal what nutrition does. I can always tell when I haven't been eating well.

Sunscreen. Best anti-aging product anywhere.

My Mom does the same thing. She has very dry skin and topical applications don't do very much fer her. She takes fish oil and flaxseed every day and says she can see the difference when she forgets to take it.

The very best thing you can do for your skin is to drink lots and lots of water.

My mom is 70, and she has been using some products from Coastal Comforts. It is a local Depoe Bay, OR company that makes all-natural products. She loves them, her skin is looking better and her liver spots are fading. I know you weren't asking about liver spots, but that certainly sold her on the products! If you are interested PM me. They do not have a website at present, but I have their email address and I also have their price list. The products are very reasonably priced; no huge monetary risk involved in trying them.

This topic makes me depressed because there are so many products! I don't know how to choose without spending a small fortune. No offense to anyone, but I always thought Mary Kay and Avon were "cheap" products, meaning they basically had no benefits. (Although I always used Avon's Milk Comfort face cream which turned my skin to silk, but it's been discontinued.)
I'll be reading this thread with pen and notepad in hand. I'll be 50 in 4 years!

I have been using Avon for years, and it works. The Anew line has something for every age.

Years ago when I first started to use make-up and skin care, I was 30, I used Estee Lauder. It was expensive but I liked it. They had a product called Night Repair and it was $30, which was a lot back then. Well about 6 months later Avon comes out with the same product but it was $10, and it was the same product. I have been using Avon skin care every since.

I use Beauticontrol. (I am also a consultant) I became a consultant because I LOVED the products so much. They last forever- 3-4 months depending on how heavy handed you are (I definately go light) and I find them affordable. I will be 41 in December and I am NOT going down without a fight! :lmao: :lmao: They are made in the USA (important to me right now!) and while they are not 100% natural- they are botanically based. PM me if you have any questions!

Good Morning!! Aging spots......aye. That is one I don't have yet but is probably coming:):)

I am 52 and just had a hysterectomy - there certainly have been some changes.........

I notice that my skin is changing.....not as supple, drying out AND my hair is thinning..............HELP

I have been using Oil of Olay and it seems to help but am always looking for something better. Just hate to waste the money.........searching.

Thanks for your input.....keep them coming PLEASE

I'm a Philosphy girl myself! My skin look SOOO much better since I started using their products. I love "Hope in Jar" and "When Hope is Not Enough." I am also thrilled with their cleanser - "Purity Made Simple."

Just the name makes me want to give it a try!

Another Mary Kay gal here. :thumbsup2

My dear SisIL, whom I recently lost :guilty:, at the age of 83yo, swore by good old fashioned Pond's! She could afford the best mankind offered, but chose to use Pond's faithfully every evening and morning. She had the most beautiful flawless skin that glowed, always looking much younger than her age. Truthfully, I am considering purchasing a $6 jar and giving it a test run! Between menopause and hypothyroidism, I need all the help I can get!?!?! :dance3:

I have been feeling the same way that many of the posts cited. It was like overnight, turning 50 and my skin looks different. I noticed a couple of yrs ago when I went on the Southbeach diet, eating no sugar and low carbs that my skinned glowed and had a wonderful color. I am going to start the no sugar diet again, along with drinking lots of wate. I also plan on using an exfoliate, and moisturize. I read on another board that was discussing skin that a dermatologist suggested instead of microdermabrasion to use Pretty feet and hands to remove dead skin from the face. I couldnt find it locally, but found it on drugstore.com
I have tried it and it does work.
