Hi everyone, my cousin and her 3 year old are travelling down to visit a terminally ill grandparent in Florida next week.
They are driving to Syracuse NY and flying down from there.
We are trying to find out if her daughter needs to quarantine when she comes home to Canada or is she exempt because she is under the age of 5.
Does anyone know what the rule is right now?
Thanks in advance

Thank you, I did read this but the way the paragraph is constructed makes the information unclear.
After the section regarding COVID test positive travellers It says
For the next 14 days, the children must also:

  • not attend school, camp, team sports or daycare
Does this only apply to a child who has tested positive OR does it apply to all kids as it suggests in the next section

Unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated children under 12

what we are looking to find out is if her child will have to quarantine

No she won't be exempt. She will have to stay home for 14 days, except for the occasional trip to the grocery store with a parent.
