I need opiinions here people......Help!!!

We had a turkey dinner last evening and when we were finished we carved all of the turkey off of the bone and put it in a plastic storage bag while it was still hot.....:rolleyes1 And you guessed it....We left it on the counter all night long...Well actually from about 9:00pm until 4:00am this morning when I found it....

Now I say throw it out but my wife thinks it should still be okay...since it was cooked and off of the bone......I need my DIS friends opinions here....Thanks all!!!

Throw it out. I found this on the King County (Seattle area) web site:

If food has been sitting at room temperature (in the "danger zone") for up to 2 hours, refrigerate it or reheat it. After food has been sitting out for 2 to 4 hours, throw it out. Potentially hazardous foods (like cut melons, meats, dairy, fish, etc.) should never be eaten if they have been sitting out for more than 4 hours.

Search on food and "danger zone". Look at it this way - yes it's a waste of money to toss it, but think about how much you're willing to risk on ending up in the ER with food poisoning and feel awful. Not worth it IMHO.

Ewww, turkey especially...throw it out!
