Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

OK... some stupid reasons I have gotten:

A bottle of Victoria's Sectret shampoo--- reviewed by another household member--- my boyfriend definitly NEVER reviewed that and he's the only person living with me.

Black and Decker blender--- insufficient information---- I went through EVERYTHING. where I bought it, how much it was, every button on it, how it can be washed, the type of container, my opinion of it, etc. When I asked what more they wanted, they said it was all fine and a mistake on their part.

I also have gotten insufficient information for 2 more today. An Ariel mug, and Toastmaster Toaster. Definitly nothing wrong with them.

A pair of Frankilin shin pads and Ludo in a Tin game---- not distributed nationally---- I didn't buy these in a location that the product is specific to. Shin pads can be bought ANYWHERE.

What I did notice was that when they go through and make the rejections, they give the same reason for every one they reject that day. For example, 2 days ago I had 2 rejected for the insufficient info. Then today 2 more for the not nationally distributed. I think they stick to a rejection reason for the day and use that for the videos.

Okay, I'm REALLY trying to find a solution to several of your Easy Share issues! So here is another site that has a possible solution. I can only imagine how frustrated ya'll must be! I want us all to be making the big bucks at this!:thumbsup2

The only review I have had rejected was a cat food review. I had thrown away the bag already and put the dry chow in a plastic container. I showed the food but they said the product must be visable. I agree with that since people could say the food is anything without the actual bag I guess!

Yeah, some rejections make sense. I got some last month saying pictures had to be shown in the destinations. Or when I did a snow globe that was bought AT disney world.. that cant be bought nationally. But to reject a video for a totally random reason like my boyfriend already did it, when he blatenly DIDN'T.... that peeves me.

I use an Easy Share and I really don't have trouble with it. I just load to the ES software and from there to Expo. I don't edit. I make sure my lighting is good and I find the sound is great with this camera. I shoot in one take so no need to edit. If the phone rings or something I just delete and start over but that is not very often. I just know what I want to say and do it in one attempt. I have only had one rejected due to poor quality and that is out of 142 approved so I must be doing something right! :thumbsup2

As for the syncing issues I haven't run into that either.

It won't be convenient for travel vids where editing I think is something you need but for everything else you might just want to try doing them in one take and uploading. You can check out one of mine (I'm ally10169 there), not for the penny ;) but just to see that an unedited video can come out pretty good.

They just rejected my vids of MK and EPCOT :headache:
Reason - need to have footage or pictures of destination
I showed several pictures of myself and my family there!!!!!!!!! Doesn't that qualify as "pictures"??? I guess that means they will be rejecting all my WDW restaurant reviews and POFQ and CBR reviews too. . .

==============================================

About the Kodak Easy Share - I really do think that it has to do with the editing. Ever since I stopped editing them they are uploading just fine to expo. Now I just have to wait and see if they are approved.

I would email them about that.. probably a mistake. if you showed pictures there should be no problem. Like I said in my previous posts, emailing them about rejections has ALWAYS paid off for me.

I would definantly contact them about that. I have watched many travel reviews on there with pictures only! Plus, I had one rejected because it said it cut of before the end, when it really didn't, that was the end. I emailed them and within a few minutes I got a response back that said to leave a couple of secs at the end, but that they would go ahead and approve it.

Oh I did email them about this!! But seeing that I have still not gotten a response to my email last week about the whole audio & video sync thing, I'm not very hopeful to get this situation taken care of either. But we'll see. . .

if you can believe it... I got yet ANOTHER rejection. This time for a video on a product that is no longer available. If thats the case... I'd like to know why when I type in the name of it, they have a match on their website with a picture of the product. If its no longer "sold" you would think they wouldn't even have it as an option on the site. Convenient that its an Arts and Crafts item too.

I'm getting fed UP.

What a complete bummer, Mermaid88! Has anyone else reviewed that item on expo? This really seems to be hit or miss lately.

Your reviews are done so well, Mermaid86. And there are so many technically inferior reviews up there. :sad2:

Grrr...not they have started rejecting MY videos for "poor audio quality" even though the ones I submitted earlier this month were just fine. I sent them an email stating that in the preview on THEIR site, the audio is working fine. I think they just don't want to pay us for our videos.

I just looked, and there IS another video of the product I did. From February of this year. So I think its another stupid rejection. And the one on the site now, the guy is just reading right off the box. I'm afraid if I keep emailing them, they're gonna get fed up with me, but I'm tired of these pointless rejections :sad2:

and thanks! :goodvibes nice to see SOMEONE appreciates them, haha!

I agree. I think thats whats going on. They are over their quota and don't want to dish out $1,000's, so they are rejecting videos left and right now.

DH has just started this and is really pumped about it. He wants me to do some, but I have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

We already have a paypal account but it is set up under DH's email and not mine. I read on ExpoTV that the paypal account has to be linked to the email address. If I sign up with my email address, then I have to have my own paypal account, right? Can I do my videos and let him upload them on his account?

Hi, You do not have to have your own Paypal account. You can get by with one PP account, that is your DH's account. PP allows approximately 7 email addresses to be linked to it. So if your DH has the PP account, just make sure the email address you use to sign up for expo is linked to your DH's PP account. Your DH can link your expo email address to his PP account through the PP site under the heading "profile."

While you could both share an account on expo, it would be best (more profitable) if each person in the family had their own Expo account. Each person is entitled to upload 100 reviews per month. So two people will be allowed to upload 200 per month... more money to be made. :) Good luck!

What does it mean when a video is out of sync?

I have about 80 uploaded and only 3 have been approved so far, with the others pending.

Okay I finally have about 25 in pending right now and you people have me scared to death they are going to get rejected. I think they are rejecting for anything now. I sure hope next month is better. DH has about 60 plus uploaded in teh 10 dollar category. THere is no way we can swing 100 out of the 10 dollar category this month since they took those others away and at this late date if they start rejecting i doubt i will have time to upload more in their place because school starts next week and we have a big birthday party sleepover here this weekend....:headache:

I'm up to 310.00 and DH up to 414.00, so we're excited, we both have all 100 done but are getting more and more rejected too for "not sufficient product information" we talked on and on and on about the products and went into great detail, I just don't get it. Oh well, at least they are rejecting them early so we can try to make it up.
Paypal question though, is there a limit on the amount of money you can get each month in the regular paypal accounts??
