Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I reviewed Gerber Graduates and they classified it as Food and Grocery. :scared1: I emailed them and talked about how it is made by Gerber and is toddler food and they said they now classify ALL foods and Food and Grocery, and if I saw some that were classified baby they must have been from another promotion months ago. Well, not only do I have other toddler food classified baby and kids, but the same product I reviewed is classified as baby and kids, and was so as recently as August 16th. Sigh. I'm afraid EXPO is on their way out.

The recategorized a couple of my items too. I wish they'd notify us when they do that so we can decide if we still want to submit the review.

On a side note....I managed to upload all 100 of my August video's before the deadline on the 10th. 90 of them approved for $10. 1 is still pending. 1 was rejected for insufficient information. :confused3 And 8 were rejected because the audio and video were not in sync. Count me in with the stumped about this issue. I've had 189 approvals in between this month and last and I've submitted 200 vidoes. All were done the same way. Why the 8 were not synced...who the heck knows. But I can't disagree because when I preview them, they aren't in sync. I think it's a shame that we can't see they aren't synced before they're uploaded or that we don't have the option to delete a video we've submitted while it's still in the pending process. That way I could pull my unsynced videos and redo them before they get rejected. Now I need to find 8 more $10 products.

I’m not experiencing any problems with rejections. Last month my husband and I did 200 videos, which were all approved. :thumbsup2 This month we did another 200. So far I have 95 approved and he has 98 approved. The remaining 7 are still pending. About 60% of them are $10 videos. Sorry to see so many are having problems. :sad2:

I've already done 25 videos for September. I can't wait to see what the new promotion will be. :goodvibes

Paypal question though, is there a limit on the amount of money you can get each month in the regular paypal accounts??
Lesley

I believe I read that it's $500. And if you go over that they hold your money for 30 days. I'm not 100% sure about that. Someone else should know.

There really is no reason not to upgrade to the premier. Expo TV money does not get charged any fees from pay pal. I received $1000 from expo tv for last month without any charges. I had the money in my checking account in 2 days.

YIKES! Between DH and I, we have about 20 Gerber Graduate items pending.:scared: I hope they don't reclassify them. 90% of them were automatically classified as feeding, baby and kids. If they changed it, then they need to change where WE see it before we upload. I mean, it's not like one of the crazy things where they automatically classify mini DVD in Lawn and Garden and we know they will reclassify. When we see Gerber Graduates under feeding, baby & kids, it looks 100% legit. Why are we to think it will be changed.

I'm becoming increasingly worried reading all these posts. Hubby has 20 approved, but I so far have none. I have over 50 uploaded, but just did so late last week. I upload about 40 for him in the last few days and just one approved. They're not declined, they're just pending. I hope they hurry up so I know if we need to redo any or make any up.

I think the ones that were categorized as grocery were probably that way when I uploaded. I just now learned you could see what category before uploading. Duh. I just got ticked when KY WARMING JELLY was listed as baby and kids but Gerber Graduates weren't. Then the email they sent me makes no sense at all. They said that all food, even baby food, is now categorized as grocery, which is simply untrue. A lot of my other Gerber stuff was classified as baby!

Well, the expo forums are getting pretty heated up with unsatisfied users.
In the section "Promotions/promotion questions/Anyone Else Feel Cheated?"
posts #39 and #52 are very interesting.

Until I read #39, (written by one of our DISers, I think), I had no idea there were other sites like expo that went under. I would love to know how people find out about these sites during the hey day before they go under (such as the site mentioned in #39 that paid out $50 per review!). Shucks, I feel like such a latecomer.

As for expos speculated decline, can you see it now? "Disney fans take down expo videopinions site in sheer numbers." ;)

I sincerely hope this is not the beginning of the end. It was so much fun at first. Just a month ago we were all so excited. And now with all these rejections and tech problems and suddenly so many of us that had no problem with "out of sync" can't seem to get many through without it.

crossing fingers things get better soon, tink

:rolleyes1 oh man..my dh started that thread over there...:rolleyes1 really he meant well...:rotfl2: Yeah I followed it for a while but thought it was dead...guess im going to have to pop back over and take a look at it.

I am a bit worried about getting the videos approved for August, I have all 100 uploaded but there is at least 50 of them that I uploaded on August 13th that still haven't been approved.

I've asked this question before and didn't get an answer, is there another site like ExPo?

Has anyone done Project Payday? It comes up on a Google search in association with ExPo TV

Has anyone used any of the companies list at watchdog? Watchdog Work from home

This has probably been asked a dozen times, but I didn't see it. On average, how long does it take to get videos approved or rejected?

Some of my videos took longer to approve this month. And I uploaded early. Go figure. I still have one out there pending and it's been sitting there since the 10th. 9 were rejected yesterday that were also uploaded on the 10th. I think it's taking longer because they're looking for silly reasons to reject them. :headache:

I haven't heard of those 2 sites. Interesting. Hopefully someone has some insight.

There is no set time. Some get approved in days. Some take a couple of weeks. I have some that uploaded on the 10th that are still pending while many from the 10th got approved days ago.

I will be so mad if this is true! I particularly looked up the food before doing it, each flavor to see where it was catagorized! I think this is really going downhill fast. Why did they up the pay I wonder? I really just hope we get paid for August! I have over $900 already, the rest are uploaded.

They are rejecting left and right stupid things! No longer sold, not enough info! Things still on the shelves at target!

They can and will recategorize as they see fit. Even if it wasn't under grocery when you uploaded, they'll move it if they want too. They did that for 2 of my videos. I made sure to check the category they were in when I selected my pics from their site. They not only recategorized but they changed the category that their picture falls in too. :rotfl: They sure are covering all bases over their. :scared: I was lucky though. I emailed them and they put them back into toys where they truely belong and also changed their pictures back to the toys category. I said it once and I'll say it again.....this site seems to be run by a bunch of ameteurs. How could they not predict what would happen this month????? :confused3 Lets see.....HUGE influx of new and very active members through June and July. Great. Now that we have more members then ever before, lets UP the payout to $10 so the large masses of video producers can suck the money from us extra fast. Who over there thought that would be a good idea???? Ameteurs, I tell ya! I, too, see this as the start of their demise. I'm taking advantage while we still can.

I miss the $5 pay out. You didn't have all the upsets due to items we thought were $10 items being put into the $2 category. Everything was $5. Everyone was happy.

Well, kudos to your dh. I learned a lot from that thread. :)

Does anyone know if pet food is under food/grocery$2 or pets$10?
thanks, tink

How many 'newbies' are having problems? I'm wondering if it's more to get rid of new users or to cut down on the referrals than anything. I mean look, there were just a few DISsers until last month and now there are about 100 of us. The $10 promotion probably had a lot of people making referrals too. They got bigger and more popular than they expected and they have to find a way to deal with it. This isn't the best way but it's what they chose to do. Personally, I think it suck because there are some people who are going to put a lot of time and effort into their vids and they will be rejected.

I'm still waiting for approvals on my uploads from last week. I have 6 more to upload but we had bad weather last night and I wasn't sure about power surges and such so I held onto them for today.

I had dog treats and fish food pellets approved under "pets" for $10, but that was early in the month. Ya know....before they started recategorizing and rejecting everything. :headache: My dog needs more food and I still need 6 more $10 reviews so I'm headed to the pet store today for some $10 review items. :rotfl2:

I had no problems until yesterday but I can't argue with the rejections either. The 8 that were rejected for not being in sync really weren't in sync. I started late last month. Did 100 videos and 98 were approved. 2 rejected because the candle scents are no longer sold. I checked and that is indeed true. This month, I uploaded 100 in the $10 categories. 90 were approved for $10 each, 1 is pending, 1 was rejected for insufficient product info and the other 8 were the out of sync ones. I have a few ready to re-upload now that they're synced but the site won't let me. :headache: I'm hoping that they won't reject them for a different reason now that they can't use the "out of sync" excuse on me. :scared:

I have a feeling at least one of my camping ones will be rejected, there was some wind noise as I was filming at the campground.

After I get the baby to bed tonight i think I will make another 10 videos (in the $10) category and have them ready to upload.

I do think that editing videos that are made with a Kodak Easyshare causes a lot of sync issues, there are a few that were approved that are not in sync (shhhhh, don't tell) those are the ones I trimmed at the beginning. I have stopped doing that as I found a way to turn the camera on without my arm showing (most of the time).
