Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

This looks and sounds very interesting. I must say I am not so sure about it, but will read the FAQ section.
Thank you for hte FYI

DH and I may not each make it to 100, but things to review just keep popping in my head. For example, we thought about the camcorder and camera, easy right? Then it hit me, what about the storage devices? We have 4 different compact flash devices for the camera (they count under computers or electronics, I saw both) and 3 different CDs for the camcorder (they count under electronics). So 2 $10 items turned into 9 $10 items!

Okay, so now I go upload them. The compact flast came out okay; however, the dvd-r and dvd-rw are not coming up as electrics like I checked yestersay. Actually, yesterday I just randomly checked a few dvd-r and dvd-rw and they all showed electronics so I figured ALL would. Today, all mine are showing up as music or lawn and garden. Yes, lawn and garden.:rotfl2: I can kinda see music, but really it's data storage, which should fall under computers. I think I'll manually put one of them in under computers and just wait and see what happens before I upload the other 2.

Wow, uploading this morning is taking for freaking ever! I have been uploading one video for over 20 minutes. Last night I uploaded 25 videos within an hour! Daytime is definitely not the time to upload. :confused3

The server must be down as the message "Please be patient while your video uploads" is not displayed. I just canceled the upload as I have a feeling it would have uploaded wrong.

I want to get everything uploaded tonight as I am going on vacation starting Saturday and won't be home until September 1; if I am really lucky everything will be reviewed by the time I leave.......

I have 43 waiting to be approved, another 25 I need to upload, 27 approved for August, just 5 more to go to cap out at 100. Most of this month's should be $10, I think I have maybe 10 (at most) that are $2. ones, but know that I'll make at least $800 for August, anything over that is gravy!

I have a list I have been making for products to review, right now I have 50 things on my list but only need 5 to cap out at 100. I am tempted to do a few extras in case there is a problem but also don't want to shoot myself in the foot for September as they won't count towards the September total.

One tip I saw on this list is to not use their pick list but to type everything in, I started doing this to ensure everything is in the right category. It takes just a few additional seconds but at least I know it's going in the right place. I reviewed the baby mobile last night and it was listed as an office product. I do keep multiple tabs open in the browser; I look up almost every product on Google to get the information for the description and to make sure I have the right product name.

Did anyone see the message on the forum from the Administrator, I am not sure if it wasn't supposed to be a private message to all the reviewers but it said to reject any video of a product that was still in it's packaging. For collectibles it was okay but since they are now $2 ones he/she didn't think there would be many of those anymore.

One product I did last night was in the packaging, so I opened it in the video, it is something I am using but wanted to make sure it wasn't rejected.

That is an interesting bit of info you passed on Ally. I'm sure it wasn't meant for public view so it's probably gone now.

I'm still waiting for my reviews to be approved. I really wish they'd hurry up as I don't want to do tons and then have all of them rejected. My sister wants to join but she wants to wait until I have some success. She's afraid she's going to invest a ton of time she doesn't really have just to find out it was for nothing.

Oh, it's gone, I went looking on the forum for the link. I was on the phone with my niece yesterday talking about ExPo TV and was on the forum looking up information about the categories and prices for her when I saw it.

It also stated rejecting reviews of products that are done in a store, that there have been a lot of those lately. He/She congratulated the reviewers to making sure those video's are rejected, the admin was JStiles.

That's only fair, you should be reviewing products you've actually used.

Hmmm, I reviewed some things in their original packaging. I hope they are not rejected. They were things like Diaper rash cream where I stuck the bottle back in the box so you could see what you were wanting to buy at the store. I will be so bummed.

I used the boxes too. We save the boxes to everything, but did computer stuff and couldn't show you the parts inside the computer. That will be interesting. I hope they aren't rejected since I felt I was going out of the way getting stuff out of the attic to add to the film (the box).

Ok so they approved about 25 of DH vids for this month but they moved his boot covers from sporting goods to clothing. These are insulated boot covers that you put over your boots once you are in a tree stand not to walk around in. I dont get it. They are clearly a sporting goods item.

Hi all! Thank you everyone for posting about expotv! I just signed up for it, we will be using this extra cash to help pay for a new car and Disney trips! I can't wait! I was just telling a friend of mine that I would love to fine a way to bring in an extra 1K a month working on line. Anyway I do have a question, is there a list or somthing that will tell you what type of products will get how much money? I ask this because I have read on here that some people made $5.00, $10.00 and $2.00 video. I would like to make all 3 :cool1: Thank you for all your help.

Last month was $5.00 per video. This month, it's variable. You can check it out here: http://www.expotv.com/make/variable_payment

I was looking for a long time on how to make money online. This is my first month, but so far so good. I just wish I had found them earlier. I have also been doing GPT (get paid to) and there is a great forum on here Under Fun: Disney Rewards Programs. I read about them earlier in the year on the budget boards, but doubted how you could make money doing survies, trying things out, ect. I finally decided to join in late June and made about 300.00 June and July; however, had I joined earlier in the year, I could had made double that or more in ONE month. Then, there became a lot of fraud and they began to get real strict, so the honest people are paying. So, I hope I didn't get in on this deal too late too!

GOOD LUCK!

SO you can review just about anything? :confused3

I was a bit tired last night when I saw this thread, DH called from overseas and I told him about it. I think this could be up our ally, but not sure.

I do some online rewards sites and I just now quit one after a year (they just took so long and I got nothing much from it) and now thinking of letting all but two go. I use one for all my oniline shopping, but this sounds a bit better.

This thread is WAY so long and I can't read all of it, but wondering if anyone from page one could edit their posts and make a cliff notes type section so when us new kids read it we can get lots of FYI in the first page. (hope that's not a lot to ask).

I always find it easier to feel better about trying something when friends (like DIS board members) give the go ahead.

Thankyou.

I made 4 videos today and DF made 1! This is so great! Thank you again for sharing such great info!

I guess if it is out of sync on their site but perfectly fine on my site when viewed... What do I have to do to get it correctly on their site? I mean what could I possibly do to fix an error that i can't see until it is in Preview mode on their site?

I wish I had an answer for you. The out of sync problem continues to plague me. So very frustrating. I wish when our review appears on their site in the pending mode, we could delete it if we see the out of sync problem. It sure would save us and them a lot of time. But no cure for the out of sync problem. For the time I put into this, including my unsuccessful research on converting videos from mov to avi, it is so very discouraging, especially when it turns out to be a $2 video.

sorry to be such a downer.. but I had such high hopes for this project...

I did 4 videos today and have uploaded 3 of them ( I am doing the 4th one now) anyway I was wondering about how long does it take your videos to be approved? Thanks everyone for your help.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Just finished uploading my 100th video for the month!!!

Based on what I uploaded; I am extremely sure 90 of them are $10 ones and the other 10 are rejected ones from July that I uploaded in a moment of frustration.

I am so happy, now if they'd only approve them all before I go on vacation next Saturday, oh please, oh please.

I am sending my niece a flash drive with all my movies, the listing products with the file number, my expo TV login and password; she'll check them for me and reload them up if there's a problem. I made a couple of spares just in case.

Getting the money will pay the credit card off when I return:banana:

I could be wrong here, but if you upload to Movie Maker, drag the video to the storyboard. Then you can go to Tools-Video Effects. Scroll down, and you will see the rotate effect- drag the effect onto the video on the storyboard for the clip you want, and that should work for you. I have used that for photos.

Hope that helps.

lisa...once again, you are a lifesaver!! i knew this question had been asked in this post, and i have been scouring looking for it! i couldnt find anything in the moviemaker help about it, and i am trying to work on my travel destinations and was getting VERY frustrated...thank you very much! :)

Good for you for uploading your 100 videos! :cool1: Awesome! I am close to my 100...hoping to finish off this week and next weekend. I have packed away a lot of my baby stuff in my garage sale boxes (which I am holding on the 25th.) so going to pull it out and organize and record all at the same time!
