* sigh * My first video were officially rejected today. i know they would be because they came up as "Video Error" when I uploaded them. It's just a little discouraging to see "rejected" beside them now. Hopefully they will start approving some of my later ones from July so I know I'm doing this right! I have uploaded about 12 for August - it would have been more if they hadn't been having so much trouble woth their website.

YEA!!! I got my first one uploaded!! Now as soon as my little one falls asleep (so there won't be background noise), I'm going to do some more!! Somehow I see me NOT getting any sleep tonight...

I know! It was up and moving pretty well around 11am so I took the opportunity to get a few uploaded then. I had other stuff to do but decided I should catch it while I could. I made 11 today and I've got 18 uploaded and three that I still need to upload. So that's 21 total so far. I need to get on top of this to get everything uploaded by the end of the month. I work nights sometimes so I was thinking of saving the videos on a USB port and bringing it to work to upload in the middle of the night

I could focus on taping and converting at home, and then upload at work when I've got time.

Thanks for the reply MomofCKJ. And yes, the influx is probably due in part to all of us DISer's! I need to get back to adding everyone as a friend!

Ok, I wish they'd be little more specific when they reject your video for "poor video quality." Only 57 of my 100 videos were approved this month and when I preview the rejected ones, they seem fine to me! The lighting and sound are ok. What is the deal? Fortunately a lot of the ones they rejected are in the $10 category this month.

I've only done 5 videos this month and although I don't want to wait until the end of the month to do mass video uploads, I feel like I wasted a bunch of time last month with all these rejections. Maybe I'll wait to see if my 5 for August get approved before making more. Anyone else find themselves in this quandary?

I am not at the point yet to deal with refused videos.

I did, however, make my very first one last night! I had many troubles downloading it, so I was able to sneak into work early and I did it from here. I await my approval before I do more in hopes of getting some criticisms in case I have to re-do it.

I was AWFUL in my video, but I hope to get better. I am a funny person and I need to get past my nerves. I did make a joke about dead fish (it was a fish food product).

plgrn, best of luck to you. After reading the boards there, I find that there isn't a constant line of approval. One approver may allow one video while the next person would not.

Well, I am new at this but maybe I can help.

You do a search by user name. In my case, my user name is Ursula. So you plug in Ursula into the find member looker-upper. Once you find me, you can see my profile and in there somewhere is a place where you can click to add me as your friend! Please do!

Maybe someone here who is more clever than I can list the DIS users for all to see so we can join up and become a cult, erm, I mean a group of friends?

I'm a bit nervous about the rejection too- I have 10 vids uploaded now, none have went through, and I feel like I should wait until they get approved before making 20 more, ya know?

Where does it show rejected videos at? Are you getting an email or does it show it somewhere? I have had 35 approved for July and 7 for August, but have about 31 more I did in July, so wondering if I am missing where it might say rejected. I did a few store brand things from walmart and didn't realize at the time I couldn't. Although now I see it is allowed, so I am expecting a few rejections.

I have several that are pending too. I have been uploading them over the past week so I expect some of them to be approved next week maybe. Hopefully soon! I would like to save enought for a trip to Europe next year! Someone did have a list of DIS/Expo TV names on the Buget Board too. Here it is:

A slew of my July videos have just been approved, went from having 8 to about 55 approved.

2 were rejected, both because I uploaded the wrong video. I am okay with that, I will now get $10 for each one because they were baby items!

I will be alone in the office suite tomorrow and Friday, I am bringing in my camera to review my work laptop, mouse, pda, media storage, printers, speakers, work digital camera, docking station, color printer, scanner, and anthing else I can find that's electronic/computer related.

Since I am the purchaser of these products and I do use them, I do think it's fine to review them.

The one question I have about all of this is, any other company doing something similar? I would LOVE it-- get paid for the same work.

See I'm confused on that because I put the one I did under the kids/baby category because it is a lights and sound book that reads to you, more like a toy if you ask me, can't wait to see what they give me for it. I have about 20 in there waiting to be reviewed, need to get busy doing more before the school year starts up for me, wish I would have known about this last month!

I checked on several baby toys like a sandbox and a Little Tykes Climb and Slide- and found that they were listed under the "you may use these words" description box as other, baby and kids ? So which catagory do these things belong to? Other = $2 or baby and kids = $10

I'm up to 81 videos shot for Aug, 21 approved for Aug-, 27 more ready to upload and 33 "not available".

I'm working hard to reach that 100 mark- if all of them are approved, I've had 68 approved including 48 from July and no rejections yet, I'll have 98 toys and 2 personal care- Apparently bathtub paints are not a toy or art but soap?
It's a stretch but I can see, kind of, why they would be soap, HOWEVER, I will NOT be washing my toddler with this paint so

We started yesterday. Both of my big boys are now in middle school and my little one was so tired from getting up early for 2 days now, that he took a 4 hour nap - I collected, put new batteries in and reviewed 27 toys while he slept. I'm uploading these videos now.
