Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Its working now...and also DH has had about 10 more videos approved for july since last night.

How long does it take for them to be approved? I have 5 pending and am waiting for them to get approved and then we're off to make more. I just love this!!!!
Lesley
There really is to set amount of time. If your lucky a few days, if not maybe a few weeks.

My shortest wait was two days. My longest was 12 days.:hourglass I did end up getting all 100 approved for July.

Right now they still are reviewing videos from July. Hopefully, they will approve yours before they are done with that or you'll be waiting until mid to late august for an approval.

They do say they are reviewed in order of submission, but I had some of my Aug videos approved before some of the July ones. So who really knows? :confused3

Good luck. :goodvibes

Can anyone tell me why I am getting an error and blank screen when I am trying to view my uploaded video's in the preview window. Does that mean that my video's did not upload correctly? I did accidentely upload 2 that I forgot to save to Windows Movie Maker first and they showed Video Error in the status line, but I am trying to figure out why the other 3 that I did upload from Movie Maker are not letting me view the preview.
Thanks for any help
Deb

daydreamer64-Have you reviewed your Kodak Easyshare yet??? :rotfl2:

Well, I could take a picture of the features, I guess, but this is the camera that I use to film with- I know, I'll stand in front of a mirror and do the review!:rotfl: I'm serious- it will be some time in the next few weeks I promise!
:lmao:

I just showed the box my samsung came in and reviewed it...I also reviewed my KES which doesnt work anymore....

I am so happy, I just had a bunch of my videos approved. Now I am only waiting for 9 videos to be approved for July.

I haven't been able to upload any for the month of August yet. We will be working on those really soon. My son's b-day is this Saturday and I have been trying to clean up the place before company arrives.
But after his b-day I am sure DH will have more toys to review ;)

We are also heading out to South Dakota next weekend. We plan on doing some reivews on the road.
Do you think each site would be a different review? Like the Corn Palace, Bear Country USA, Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, Wall Drug, etc would each be one separate video? Since it is travel I would think it would be in the $10 slot. Boy we really could get a lot $10 videos done. Plus we are staying in two different hotels during our trip so there is another $20 ;)

I have been spending a good part of the morning watching other DISer's videos. Adding up those pennies ;)

anyone have any uploads the past couple days that they still can't view the videos for!?

Does anyone know if the kid's products like Disney sunblock would qualify as a kid's item or not? I mean sunblock isn't a kid's item but this is the finding nemo kids sunblock???

Yes, I still have three videos from July that haven't been approved. I did have 30 that were approved last night, though.

I have 29 that I uploaded in August that haven't been approved. Twenty I cannot view. I don't believe it's a video error, rather they are rather busy with July's videos.

Have faith - I think expotv.com is working round the clock!

I have a question about arts and crafts. My sister makes ceramic pieces and teaches people how to paint them. Could we review the actual mold she uses to make the pieces do you think? I am going to her house this week and we are going to review all of her paints, etc., and all other craft supplies but was just wondering if it would be worthwhile to review a mold. They can be bought by anyone from the mold companies. :confused3

THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY TONIGHT!!! I've been trying for 2 hours to upload 3 stinkin' videos and it won't work!! Augh!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, had to vent!
Lesley

FINALLY!!!! Got my 18 done today and my husbands 7, took FOREVER!!! Back to work tomorrow. Sure hope these get approved.

I'm trying to upload my first video and have now twice gotten this message:

"Unable to find video server information." :confused3

HELP!

I had trouble getting in this morning, but once I was in, it went fine. I notice it works great early in the morning and late at night. I get up first thing and usually start. Today I waited until about 10 and then that is when I got trouble. I have 61 done for this month and about 10 more videos to upload, so not much more to do hopefully! If I could only get DH to actually do something!

So you think if I wait until morning it will upload? I really wanted to upload one and just reassure myself I could do this before I recorded more.

I have a question about the $2/$10 category thing.

When I've been entering my videos it just asks if it's a product review, a movie currently in theaters, a vacation destination, or a car. There isn't a $2 or $10 category choice. Will they just label it correctly for you and pay you the right amount if it's approved?

Also- I uploaded about 17 videos and they are all "received" and the view video part is "not available." This is ok right? I just wanted to make sure there weren't errors or something. For a bunch, it never gave me the "you successfully uploaded" page, it just timed out after a while, but the green bar at the bottom went all the way across like it loaded ok and it showed up under my videos.

Thanks to anyone to can answer this for me! :goodvibes

"We are upgrading our servers to accommodate for the recent influx of videos we are getting. We expect to get more servers by the end of the week. Unfortunately until that time your videos will be in received status. However please note that we are still receiving videos and this will not affect the approval time frame for most videos. Thanks for bearing with us as we rapidly grow."-ExpoTV

This is a quote from one of the forums, so it appears that maybe a lot of the problems we have been having with uploading this month is because of this. (No less frustrating though!)

The 2/10 thing yes it will be by the category that the actual item is under. So you just choose if it is a movie, product, car, etc and then you select it if it is an item that is shown or enter your own. The price will be based on the category.

And I have about 12 videos uploaded from yesterday and today that are in the same received/not available status. They do move over. I had quite a few that were like that from the first couple of days in August and now they are in the pending/preview stage. I think things are just slow being that the Expo people are so busy. Today they approved 30 more of my July videos bringing me to 73 for July. I still have 11 more for July before getting to my August.

I bet us Dis-ers are partially responsible for this recent influx of videos! :lmao: Never underestimate what someone will do to get themselves to Disney World!
