Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I use an Easy Share but I don't edit at all. I just shoot in one take, upload to the Easy Share Software and then right to Expo from there. I tried Movie Maker but it didn't accept the format from the Easy Share so I am not sure how to get around that.

Thanks for the response! DH downloaded a program that will convert in several modes, the one we used initially uncompressed and made it too large. We played around and found one that adds very little to the file size. I sued the oversize file last night to put toghter what I want with vioce overs on the still pix and I liked the way it came out. The conversion doesn't take more than a minute or two for a 30 sec clip. I'm too much of a perfectionist to just shoot and upload............ :sad2:

I still have 25 from July pending, but 85 of Augusts have been approved! So no $ for me today either!

YESSSSS!!!!! I have been PAID!!!!!! I feel so much better now that the money is in the bank!!!!! Paypal is showing transfer of money from Expo-so everybody that did July videos-be checking your PP accounts!:woohoo:

I have been paid. My husband and I both had 100 videos approved. So in my paypal this morning was $1001.10. Holy Smokes, it's real!!!!!!!!!!

PAID! PAID! PAID!

Dabute> wow! I thought my 150.00 was exciting> congrats to you!:thumbsup2

Yeah! :woohoo: Is there a withdraw fee with premire? or a monthly maintnance sp? fee?

My July payment was in my PP account this morning- only $240 but still more then I would have had if I had not run accross this thread!- It would have been $500 but the site froze that last week and I was able to submit all of those toy reviews this month- so not so bad at all .:teacher:

Well both mine and my husbands are still in pending status this morning and he still has 1 pending video for july. I hope they pay out soon so I can get the kids back to school stuff with it. That will be nice.

On another note I uploaded about 30 for DH last night with no problems except that they are all still in the recieved status.

 got my payment too
not as much as everyone else, but it's still money!

question:
does anyone use the paypal debit card? it looks like it would be great for me to have!

Well, for July I have 24 approved, 3 STILL pending, and 32 rejected saying that audio & video were not in sync. . . How did this happen??? I did all the videos the same way! Did they get out of sync because the upload takes so long to expotv??? And most of the ones I have done for Aug. are getting rejected already too for the same reason. When I think of all the time I spent making & uploading them for nothing it makes me sick to my stomach!
Very dissapointing. :sad1:
And I haven't been paid yet either. Hopefully I will atleast get paid my $120 for July soon.

Is there a new link to what is $10 and what is $2 ? I never got the email about the toys & things being bumped back to $2. I just found out about it on this thread today!

Oh well, I guess I'll keep trying. . .

We use it... Great to have... 1.5% cash back on everything when you charge it with your card.... Debit transactions DO NOT get you money back.

Well this was in their announcements forum from yesterday evening about the changes, bottom line...they dont give a rip and they arent going to extend the deadline....

For the month of August, we changed our pricing from a flat fee to a ‘variable payment’ system. Many of you have asked for more information about why we made these changes.

We recently flew past the 100,000 review mark in July. We actually had assumed we would pass that in December of 2007! So, the community has been growing, and has been very active. We’re very grateful for your participation and hope you’ve been enjoying being a part of this new consumer voice.

Now that our catalog is so large, we found that we needed to move the incoming videos toward the categories that attract more viewers and product researchers. Those are the categories that we currently are promoting at the higher rate per video…electronics, baby & kids, cars, computers, fitness and exercise, pets, sports & outdoors, and travel.

The remaining categories were lowered because we have received an enormous of amount of submissions for those, but are in areas that are in less demand by viewers. Those categories include food & beverage, books, movies. We know that lowering the promotion amount may cause some of you to choose not to create videos in those categories. We understand, and hope to raise the payments again when we need more videos in those areas.

Finally, we recently made a few last minute changes to the categories, moving arts & crafts, kitchen & housewares, and toys & games into the $2 category. We are very sorry that we couldn’t give you more notice, but we have been receiving a great number of these videos, much faster than we anticipated, and now need to focus on fewer categories.

I understand that these changes may have inconvenienced some of you who prepare your videos ahead of time. We have tried to stay as consistent as we could, for as long as we could. However, the fast growth of this community has required us to react quickly so that we can continue to provide payment to the community. We will occasionally need to make changes that can’t be predicted by us, in order to ensure that we can keep rewarding you for your contributions.

We will be posting more on future incentives, including rewarding for quality, “first to review”, and other special promotions like our Karma Clickfest sweepstakes. We will try harder to give you as much notice as possible about any changes. We hope that you will continue to work with us to find new ways to ensure that you are rewarded for your tremendous effort.

Many thanks, and please keep the feedback coming. We read all the boards.

I can not seem to find this anywhere on the Expo TV site - Do you have to tell how much the product retails for? I am spending so much time researching each product to find out if they still sell it and how much it is worth. Thanks!

I have watched many videos that don't mention price. :confused3

Here's my question... Gosh, the site is so annoying (it just isn't WELL MADE)...

How/where do you contact someone at Expotv when they've paid you wrong for an item?

Wrong? How could they be wrong, you ask? Well, pet products are in the $10 category and I've received $10 for most of my products- but for a FURMINATOR (which is a $50 dog brush)- I received $2, but for a ZoomGroom (a $8 dog brush)- I received $10! LOL!

And then for doggy cologne (it's a spray for after grooming)- I received $2!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... Unless PEOPLE want to wear doggy cologne and brush their hair with a dog brush (which I actually DEMO'ed, I believe)- um, they are clearly pet products.

So who do I contact or where do I find the contact link?

There is a Contact Us link at the site which allows you to send in an email and ask questions, tell them of a problem, etc. That is what I would try.
