Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

Fot those of you using movie maker for editing and slide shows; do you put in titles or use the special effects? I was playing around today getting to know the software and worked on a travel video so I put the fun effects and some titles in. I'm not finished with it but so far I like it. Does anyone mention any contact info (website and/or phone numbers) or put that info anywhere in a slide show?

If I remember correctly, it is against their policy/agreement for you to put contact info in your video. They will reject it.

WOO HOO!!! I finally had some of my videos completely uploaded to the site! If any of you are bored- look at my vids- my name onsite is hopescry.

LOL- how crazy! It is irritating though- I think a toy vid I made at the beginning of the month- I got paid $2 for? How do you see exactly what you received for each video?

I have started using Windows Movie Maker. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I use it to edit and shrink the movie (from 35+mbs to between 5-8). I like it so far. I have started using the titles, credits, and some effects> mostly transitioning between title and movie. Some of the effects are fun, but I am still figuring them out. I like it> still waiting to see if Expo does!

I saw where it says I can't put my personal info but for this video of a local museum, at the end I put "For more information, location, admission and hours" and listed the museum's website and phone numbers. I personally think this is important for any one who may be considering visiting an attraction. I know I'd hate to show up on a day they are closed or at 3pm only to find that they close at 5 and there is a ton of stuff that we couldn't get to.

Can anyone tell me if they have actually gotten paid for July? I mean, not just a payment pending, but actual funds put into your paypal account?

About how long after you get that "payment pending" message do you actually see the money go into your paypal acct?

No one has gotton paid yet. There have not started payments for July. It says payment pending all month long. It's means nothing.

Payments should be rolling out any day now.

I'm subscribing to this thread. I just about got my Dh and DS convinced to try this thing out, and then I read they changed the payout. That's a bummer! I may get my DS to do it -- even if he makes only $2 a video, that's $2 more than he had. Every little bit will help, as he'll be starting college soon.

Ok now im ticked off. DH did a review of a Scent Shield travel bag. It's for hunters, camouflage, nice bag. It was well over a minute long with him talking about all the different things you can do with it, the stuff that comes with it, etc. They rejected it for not enough information. What more did they want? It was a decent video. So then Im looking through the forums and someone mentions about a man who reviewed a tampon, so I thought I would take a look and sure enough some guy is reviewing a playtex tampon that a girl apparently left at his house. I mean sure he gives information but obviously he is guessing about it and he says that. Now why does that get accepted? Grrrrrrrr.....

Well he has complained about other ones that got rejected and they never replied. Thats ok. He will just redo it and put more information in it and get paid 10.00 this month unless they move it to a category for 2.00.

Where do you sign up for the deposit into your Paypal account? Do they just send the money to the email you signed up with? The one thing I DO NOT like about the site, at this point, is that it's clunky. There should be an FAQs page with bullet details on what is needed on a video, there should be information about paypal, etc, on that page- and really, there is nothing like it easily accessible on site!

I will feel better about this whole thing once I see evidence that I actually get paid! I have put some time into this, and my friends and family still don't think this is real.

Now that most things are $2 though, I don't think I will continue. Even though my upload time is less than a minute, it still takes a lot of time.

I hear ya. I didn't tell any friends because I know they'll think I'm nuts. Dh doesn't think this will pan out either. Seeing is believing. When Expotv pony's up the paypal, I'll be happy.

I think I'd continue for $2 a video. Still trying to decide, but here's my current train of thought: I know it takes us all varying amounts of time to get the vidoes done, but I still think it's a good payout for me. If I figure it takes me roughly 10 minutes to grab an item, review it, save it through Movie Maker, and then upload it and I did 6 per hour, I'm still earning $12/hr. I'll take that as long as it's only taking up my free time. And I think 6 per hour is on the low side if I'm working w/out distractions because I'm already moving on to another review while the previous one is being uploaded. I dunno. I guess I'll have to watch the clock closer when I'm doing this. Time is money.

How long before you can preview your video on your pending list? I uploaded several videos last night and under my pending videos it says unavailable. Is that normal or does that mean the video didn't download right? I had a horrible time trying to get the videos downloaded last night and I don't know if it worked. TIA!

I uploaded a bunch over three different days- the 6th, 7th and 10th. My videos uploaded the 6th & 7th became available for preview on the 10th, and the ones I uploaded the 10th just became available today (the 12th). Don't worry if it's not available for preview yet.

I still do not have sound for ANY of the ones I have up under preview though!!!

Does anyone else have this problem??? I know one person said that one of theirs didn't have sound. I'm afraid I did something wrong after uploading 35 videos. I had some time this afternoon to tape but didn't want to waste my time if I really won't have any of these approved.

Anyone??

Has anyone else checked under their earnings in the last couple of hours? Mine says July's is processed and lists today's date but no money is in my Paypal account. I wonder if they list it being processed before it actually is.

BTW I also had 19 August videos approved and they were all $10!!!
They are listed as 19 $2 videos with 19 $8 bonus payments=totaling the $10.

Sorry to repeat this question- but where on the site do you actually sign up to be paid through Paypal? Do they just automatically paypal the money to your email you signed up with?
