i am leary on my pet products also, i did 2 for treats, $10 each. then i did a pet spray/perfume, sill pending but i bet it will be only $2. we'll see. i just want to try to save money for my upcoming trip.

I was Paid too!!! Yeah!

I am one of those who never got an email about the promotion change either. I wonder why? Fortunately I had uploaded 67 videos before the 8/10 deadline. I have 11 more I was ready to upload, but I might save them and see if I can come up with 33 items from the Sports/Outdoor section..we have lots of pool stuff/chemicals I think that's in the Sports section under swimming. Would Camping fall under Outdoor?

I think I will still do Expo even if they change it to all $2...I am getting a pretty good system and figure it only takes me 5-7 min to shoot and upload per video, so still worth my time.

Before I make my videos I check and see what I will get paid by putting it in, clicking it and then checking the catagory they have it in. I have noticed things in different catagories then I would put them for sure!

I noticed this too. I made sure whatever picture I use falls in the catagory I want it too, too. I reviewed some crayons and one pick had them in office supplies. I don't know too many professional offices that stock up on crayolas. Same w/scissors. We use them in the kids art box, but I noticed some of the fiskars scissors were in office supplies too. So for, none of them were switched out on me. I did read on their forum that the reviewer will put the item in the right catagory. Some things could fall in more then one. And, last month, I accidentally put something in a totally wrong catagory by mistake and they never changed it.

So all day yesterday I tried to upload a AVI file that was 24.6 MB and it would take 5-10min and then tell me I am not uploading the correct file extension. But I am!!!!!

I posted on their forums and they said it could be an expo issue?

Can anyone help? I haven't tried today since I am at work.

Also what free program (that works with Windows Vista) can I download to convert to wmv or another accepted file extension?

I got in but am finding the site VERY sluggish. It takes forever to load a page.

Still bummed that they have not reviewed my last 2 July ones yet they did approved another August one for me. That makes like 25 for August. But without these July ones no $$$ for me. I know, I know, I need patience but seeing every one else get paid, well its just a bummer.

Can you use Windows Movie Maker? I don't know if you can use it with Windows Vista? I use it with a webcam and the videos that it creates are automatically .wmv files.

I have windows movie maker on my laptop...just can't figure out how to open it there. I tried and it won't!

I still cant get onto their site. this must be their busy time of day or something. ive tried 2 different computers and im still not able to even load the page. oh well. they still havent paid me or dh yet either. i was really hoping we would get paid with the first batch so we could use it for back to school stuff but oh well on that too...at least it will be coming eventually i hope...anyway...im glad i got his vids uploaded this morning. he is nearly half done for august now...

I've got Vista and have been making mine in avi files and converting to .wmv files via Microsoft Media Encoder (it's a free download).
Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx

and download the FIRST version. (I tried the second one and it wouldn't work with my system for some reason).

It's very easy to install, and when you click on the program to run it after it's installed, just click on "convert file." Then it will ask you what you want to convert to- there will be a drop down menu of different qualities of video. Pick the top drop down menu, and then click on the first one that has a 1 in it (there's a 5, then a 2, then a 1 and then some VHS quality ones). This should shrink it to about 10MB I think. Some of my videos have been uploading in as little as 1 minute.

I am on my work computer right now so I don't have the Encoder program in front of me, so if you're confused by this I'll put up more specific instructions once I get home and look at it.

Mine will play but have no sound whatsoever.

I'm afraid they're going to reject them!!!

Anyone else have this problem in the preview mode and get them accepted????

I just checked and mine are playing sound but it's not in sync.
