Another waiting for Southwest thread!

I don't know much about AirTran -- we don't have them here in Louisville. I think SWA needs another low cost alternative here to keep prices competitive. We have an "International" airport here, which is funny to locals because the flights really only go to maybe two or three international destinations.

BTW: I missed you girls yesterday -- I have a bona fide case of the MUMPS!! How lame is that?

Our dates at Disney are similar. We are going 9/19-9/26- where are you staying? We are staying at AS Sports. I am anxiously waiting for Southwest to open their dates so I can book airfare. The last time they did I keyed some dates within that time range and came up with 59 dollars one way non-stop from Buffalo to Orlando- hoping for the same this time around. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I come out the April 20th through -Oct5.

Im waiting for Aug 5-11th but actually already thinking ahead for a possible trip for next april during our school vacation week. If i do this and play the southwest game yet again (lord help me) will the rates start off low even though its a busy time to fly?

We're at ASMo!! :wizard: I have three RR tix to book, but if the fares are low enough I might save one so DD can go with us to Boston in June and just pay OOP for my own ticket (so I can get my RR credit toward a future flight).

I looked at booking Delta using up my frequent flyer miles...I have 52,000 and DH has 48,000. I thought I could use some of those to fly down one way and fly SWA back but Delta has totally screwed up their SkyMiles plan and it would cost 25,000 regardless of if we were flying one way or RT. I hated to waste that on a one-way when I could get a RT, but the problem is that they make it virtually impossible to snag a "SkySaver" (Limited seating) flight time.

OT RE the mumps: There's been an outbreak in 8 states. Make that 9, now. I went to the immediate care center and he said I was the second case in three days he's seen. I had to it into my primary care physician so she could report it to the CDC. Nothing much they can go but give me pain killers and tell me to rest. It's already noticibly less swollen on my left side. Still hurts to the touch, but I finally slept at 1:30 a.m. last night. Plus, I have a full set of braces, which doesn't help the matter much.

11:01 EST...nothing

Ok, numbers are not my strong point. :rotfl: So 10 am CENTRAL time would be 11 am EST. Correct?

we are going 10/22-11/4 when do you think I can book//Never done Sw before....any tips????

My husband and I are also waiting for flights on SW for our fall trip
August 29th - Sept 11th. Dolphin and BWV with parents and nephew.

I also going to Vegas with ladies from work August 11th - August 15th.
Its getting a little frustrating, especially when your the one that has to keep checking for the new flights and rates to come out.

Our flights for May 31st - June 10th at AKL are all set. In February my husband checked at 4:30p.m. Eastern time and checked again at 6:00 p.m. same day and the new flights and rates were posted. This was on a monday I believe.

OK, here is a way to avoid having to get up at all hours and check the web site, http://www.urlywarning.net.
Hi,
I have just downloaded the Urlywarning and have it all set up, I think :confused3
I went to the Southwest.com page And Then clicked on the reservations page, highlighted the URL, copied it and then pasted it into the urlywarning setup box. Should I have just inserted the regular Southwest.com page or this link?
http://www.southwest.com/cgi-bin/buildItinerary2?hps=nb

Also, I've got the optonline (probably just like you Long Islander). Do I have to keep the modem plugged in all the time? I usually unplug it at night and turn off the computer, then return everything back on when I wake up. If I should not unplug it until I get the airfare, that'll be all right, too. Just tell me what to do.

Hopefully, not only will I look forward to hearing the Ding! but I'll also hear that submarine DiveDive horn!
I hope this works :)
Thanks for the site suggestion!

Off to the Disney store this morning if they are opne (its Patriots Day in Ma.) Does anyone know if they have the slide on slippers for kids yet? My son wore his Dash ones all last yr..

I Already have the SW website up on my work computer. It may not necessarily ding the Ding! when the schedule updates. I have never waited for a schedule to open like this. I do know that the schedule update showed on the Ding! window, when it opened up for my March dates.

Once again, I'll be sitting at my computer at 11:00. :surfweb:

I hope the schedule is updated this week. It's hard to rearrange my own schedule to be free at 11 every day.

Here is pixie dust for our flights. May they be available soon with good rates!

Just noting that when the last set of dates opened up (in Feb) I did get a DING to notify of it.

I'm sticking with the 11 a.m. EST, April 20th, that I predicted 8 or 9 pages ago. But goo dluck to all waiting out these next four days.

Well secretly hoping it's the 20th, that would be a better day for me. but since I can't afford to loose out on a good price, I will be here daily waiting for them to think we have finally suffered enough and release the dates so I can finally be done with this and get on with my life.
