Another Vero question

Next week will be our first trip to Vero. Any good restaurant recommendations?

Our family likes Captain Hiram's in Sebastian (usually for lunch). We also like Mr. Manatee's and Lobster Shanty in Vero Beach.

We really enjoyed the Ocean Grill. Right on the beach and great food.

We enjoyed Mo Bay in Sebastian. It's Jamaican, so some of the dishes tend to be on the spicy side, which I love. Not all are spicy though, because DW and DMom were both able to find something. The also had many gluten-free options for DD. They also have a restaurant.com coupon.

Besides the restaurant above. we like Squid Lips in Sebastian, Mulligans in Vero Beach and Riverside Cafe in Vero. Even better, they just opened a new Mulligans right on the Indian River is Sebastian, just before Captain Hirams and Squid Lips. Good food, great view, and closer.

We enjoyed the Ocean Grill in Vero. The Crab au Gratin was to die for. We also enjoyed Capt Hiram's, fresh salad and great fired scallops. I thought Squid Lips was just okay. I don't think we will go back this year. The Lobster Shanty in Vero gets good reviews.
We ate at Shutters and the Green Cabin Room at the resort and we enjoyed both.

We've enjoyed Mr. Manatees and Squid Lips. Did not have a pleasant experience with Capt Hirams - service issues related more so than the food.

I also highly recommend ordering a pizza from Orchid Island Pizzeria - righ next to the resort. They deliver and have excellent food. Not seafood, but a nice break and a chance to stay in and relax.

Thank you for recommending Ocean Grill. We went there tonight & it was outstanding. DH had a filet & I had the Crab Au Gratin, which is similar to the Coquilles St. Jacques, but all crab meat. It was outstanding!

We shared shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. The shrimp were gigantic. Key lime pie for dessert was incredible. We'd definitely go back there.
