Do you get fast track security when you're in upper class at MCO?

Last time we were at MCO the security line was so bad I actually had a small panic attack (I have problems with busy spaces, airports being the worst). :scared:

Not sure, the queues were so small for us in Sept that we just joined the normal queue.

There is a special queue at the right hand side, near where the arrivals come through, not sure if it's for fast track though.
I've seen folk with special needs, military etc use this.

Don't recall any fast track at MCO when we flew UC June 2006.

We also didnt get it at Gatwick - what do you have to do to go fast track? Is there a 'special' entrance?

You ask the security folk handing out the plastic bags and they will point you in the right direction... Sometimes it's near the other security queues and sometimes they take you upstairs and you exit by the Virgin Clubhouse...

Same here. They also seem to allow the occasional juggling, struggling parent/children through as well as someone who's late for their flight...

That's not good news. We've booked upper class for our next trip as we assumed that would give us fast track security.
After our last trip, the thought of having to go through that line again, nearly brings the tears back to my eyes.
I've tried several types of drugs (diazepam, beta blockers) and it didn't help, diazepam actually made things a whole lot worse. As some of you mentioned medical/special needs, I don't suppose it would help getting a doctor's note. I really can't stress enough how bad it can get for me. :sad1:

Try calling Virgin special assistance on 0870 380 2004, they might be able to sort you out with something.
Make sure you mention the UC bit, as this usually helps.

I think the security staff will be very understanding, DH is disabled and they always pull him out of the line at MCO - we don`t even ask. I would ask one of the staff managing the line, I bet it a situation they are very familiar with.

FastTrack at Gatwick is hit-and-miss to be honest. Sometimes it seems to go as slow as the regular lines.

No FastTrack at MCO, as other have mentioned. Obviously you'll be able to make use of the UC check-in and skip the long check-in lines, though.

ETA: Just spoke to DH and apparently there is a new FastTrack at Gatwick now which is much, much quicker. :thumbsup2 :)

Hi there, we flew home UC last week from MCO and there was no fast track line from what I could see....

There were a couple of people getting through quickly on the right hand side of the security checks, not sure why, I did consider asking as the queues were really long and our LO's were getting fidgety to say the least but we stayed in line :scratchin

The staff seemed friendly enough so there would be no harm at all in asking for some assistance etc I had a bit of a panic myself as going thru security I managed to loose my boarding pass. The staff were really helpful in looking for it but I eventually found it myself, I had put it in one of our strollers as I was rushing thru

Good luck and hope all goes well :goodvibes

Ali :goodvibes

if you speak to special assistance before hand and when checking in remind them they will put a sticker on your passport allowing you to be fast tracked, we do this cos DS has Autism and could never que in a confined space like that

Thanks for the help! much appreciated. :flower3: I'll get DH to call Virgin and hopefully they'll be able to help us out. If I would try to call them, I'd probably start crying already just asking them about it.
