Is that how you chose your user name? You had a premonition that you would indeed actually be a poor man because you had the intentions of buying several DVC contracts?

Originally posted by Poorman ... I just got off the phone with Pat Spell. I added $2.00 to my offer and the seller agreed to refuse Disney's ROFR. I am doing this
for two reasonsto get the points and find out what really can happen. Pat Spell (who was on the original DVC team) insists that this is a proper procedure. I am not disputing all the posts about this,I just have to give her the benifit of the doubt. I will keep everyone posted as this unfolds. Rich
chris1gill,
When we bought our resale last month my husband said that as long as I'm happy, he's happy. When I mentioned to him just the other day that "perhaps we need more points" (as a joke, of course) he gave me a look that could have killed everyone within a 20-mile radius!!!
I'm happy with the 150 points we have...for now!!!

Pat Spell just called. DVC let OKW @ $70.00 pp go through. This leads me to believe they are slowing down as they accumulate points and are calling people on the wait list that don't want the points anymore. The contract was 2 seperate contracts one at 130 and the other 230,total 360 points. One closing,I pay closing and 1/2 2003 dues. All points intact for 2002 and 2003. Not a great deal but better than buying from DVC direct. Though those looking to buy resale would like the info. Regards , Rich
