Another lovely 80 degree day here. I've been driving the convertible the last couple of days...
.
DH rototilled my garden spot. Today he's getting a load of compost and chicken manure to boost it up a bit. So this afternoon I can plant my cold weather crops (danger of frost not over until mid May). So I got cabbage, cucumbers, potatoes, onions, lettuce and carrots.
You know I've always been confused by lettuce...why can you not freeze it after it's cut, yet it's considered a cold weather crop and frost will not ruin it when it's growing??
Go Figure!
