Should I say that I waddled away quickly to join the circus? I know.. I waddled away semi-quickly.. with a bit of a limp because my back hurts. What circus wouldnt want me? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DH's knee is KILLING him these days. Uff.

Now that soccer is over, I'm hoping he will be on it less and it will hurt less. :(

Thanks. :)

We've got a busy week ahead; conferences for both boys, an eye appointment for DS8 and finally that appointment with the allergist for DS4. :thumbsup2

busy, busy! I have a Dr. Appointment on Wednesday. Thats about it. I had Alex's conference last Friday. I cant think of anything else I have planned for next week.

Do they have you going in weekly now, or every other week? They take this twin business seriously! :lmao:

Geesh.. Tell me about it! I have been going in every other week since the beginning, I think. Or darn close to it! Most of the women on my twin boards are still only going every 4 weeks or so. I dont know why they have me coming in so often. not that I mind! I would come in every day if thats what they wanted.. but it sure would cut into my napping. :lmao: :lmao:

It's probably because you're considered high risk? (I think you said that?) I was high risk for a few reasons, and I think I went in more often sooner as well.

Yep. I just love when they tell me that too.. It gets my husband all sweaty and freaked out. Like I am just going to keel over and die at any second. :lmao: My favorite was when the midwife told me I was "older". :rotfl2:

What? YOU are "older"? Older than what, you're 6yo? DUH!

You're hardly "advanced maternal age" range. I cannot tell you how I detest that phrase.

:lmao: :lmao: I think at the time she meant that I was older then when I had my other kids... But still.. I was like... Im OLDER??? Then WHAT???

Did you know advanced maternal age for twins is like 30 or something?? Isnt that bonkers???

generally. :lmao: I think we were talking about GD, and my weight and stuff. How the pregnancy would effect me..

Hey, do you know if you have a temporary sort of disability (like DH's bum knee), can you get a GAC (guest assistance card)? I would think it would help DH if he did less walking/standing than necessary. But I'm not sure how disabled, or how you'd prove it, to get something like that. :confused3

When do you have that test? I think I had it at around 24 weeks. Do they do it earlier with twins?

I have no clue. You should ask over on the Disney side..

I dont know. Im sure she will bring it up at my next appt. Cant WAIT for that one. It seems as though all the women on the twin boards failed the one hour, and had to go back for the 3 hour. and most failed that one. Cant wait!:cool1: :sad2:

MOST of them? Are you serious???

It's usually something like 10% fail the first test, and about 1/3 of those fail the 3 hour. I was one of those. Lordy, toward the end I was almost asleep and my head was pounding! It was a little scary!

Weird thing was, since I had it with DS8, I assumed I would have it with DS4. She actually started me on the diabetic diet at the outset, and said it might ward off getting GD. And it did! Weird, huh?

With twins there is a 50% chance of getting GD. ALso a much higher chance of having high blood pressure. Its just lovely.

YIKES! On both counts!

I know that uncontrolled GD makes for very fat babies, and high BP makes for underweight babies. I had GD and it was uncontrolled in the last week or so (because of a steroid I had to take for Bell's Palsy); Ds was a little butterball! :lmao:

And one of my best friends had high BP through her whole pregnancy and she delivered at 31 weeks. MAN, that was a tiny baby! I don't remember what her weight was, but she was itty bitty. Today she's rather tall. :)
