I just ordered mac-n-cheese and bacon, and the new Panormous pizza from pizza hut. I hope I can eat some of it. :scared:

hey, get those in-store scooters! My mom is using them now, and just loves it! she's basically been house-bound for years, too stubborn to use the wheelchairs or scooters until recently. she'd go and suffer through walking, only getting what she absolutely needed and then suffering the pain the remainder of the day. then she tried the scooter and loved it! she called me from the store one time and said, 'hey, i can go all the way to the back of the store now, can i get anything for you?' :rotfl2:

:lmao: We were talking about that today.. I was slowly waddling through the store, and we looked at each other and were like.. Yeah. Might be time to bust out a scooter. Maybe then I can keep up with everyone. :rotfl2:

Howdy Hyenas!!

I'm back from shopping. I had a wonderful time, and got alot done. Yay!!

Megan, it will be Ok.

Alex, I'm so excited for you to go to DL next month. It is absolutely the best time to go in my opinion. Be sure to check out the Grand when you go. Or are you staying there?
I bought my grandsons a pirate Playmobile set for Christmas. Do your boys have any Playmobile stuff?

Hey Melody! Im glad you had a good time shopping!

My kids have Playmobile stuff. Mainly because my hubby grew up in Germany, and thats what they had there.. So thats what they buy the kids.

i can't wait to see small world! I love it anyway, and we missed it on our last trip in april. i've always wanted to see it with the holiday overlay, too. :lovestruc

I got to ride Small World yesterday! :thumbsup2

Christmas time at Disneyland is my fav too! If I could only go once a year it would be when it's decorated for Christmas.

I have been reading about how popular Vera Bradley stuff is.. Am I the only one who thinks that stuff looks like butt ugly, old lady stuff?? Probably, huh?

I don't get it either.. how is it any different than the Made in China crap at Walmapart right?

off to check the hubby , ding ding ding every few minutes with alarms this run. :headache:

I can't decide between Halloween and Christmas as my faves. They are equally cute to see how they deck out the park but I tend to like the slower days and a bit more warm in the evenings. We were miserable cold at Christmas one year.

There was nice during the day but DBF and I only brought light sweaters and we both had shorts on so by the end of the night we were freezing.

For us, the humidity level is much lower than our typicals making it feel even colder.. brrrr.
We can be in the 50's here in MN and be very comfy in light weight jackets. But even 60's in Anaheim feels cool to the skin once the sun goes down.

Shorts? brrrrrrrrrr.

Hubby told me today his school gave turkeys to each of the families.

Free turkey.. with a string attached. They had to complete all their paperwork to receive the turkey  Piles of emergency forms, free lunch forms , permission slips signed at the door and get a turkey in payment.
Smart school, bring em in and get something out of them. :thumbsup2

The school was losing thousands of dollars a day without the free/ reduced lunch forms completed. The more they have qualified, the more money they get. Plus hubby is aware of students who have been getting lunch everyday but haven't paid (no form on file) owing as much as $120 . He had to be the one to hand over "money due" slips and more forms to fill out to the stuents in his advisory class (homeroom).

We FINALLY decided on the girls big present. We have been wracking our brains, trying to figure something that she will actually use, love, and will hopefully be SO COOL that she wont bug her brother while he is playing on his new PSP. I dont know thy we didnt think of it before. A portable DVD player.. Now.. I know it seems odd for a three year old, but you dont know MY three year old. She loves movies and cartoons, this way she can watch in the car, or whatever.

We were looking at the Fisher price kid tough one.. But the screen was tiny! Like 2 or 3 inches. I swear it was the size of a credit card. Plus.. it was $150. So we went to the Tv section and found a Disney one for $78. :cool1: it has a little Tink design on it. Very cute.
you know, we got one last year for our flight to dl. we hoped it would keep the kids busy for most of the 3 hours. and you know what? it worked like a charm! :thumbsup2

not only did it work on the flight down and back, but ds4 carries the darn thing around the house. he sits in dh's office while daddy is working, and quietly watches a movie right next to him. dh loves it, because he can get some work done and still be with the little guy. i'm really surprised at how much he loves it; he'd rather watch a movie on the little screen than on the big tv now. win-win! :goodvibes

oooo, i wanna know if it's any good. of course that stuff is horribly fatty, so dh having any is out of the question; but could be a great alternative for those nights he works late or is out of town. :thumbsup2

woohoo on the shopping success!!! :woohoo:

i am getting excited now that it's about a week away. i've been annoyingly laid back about this trip for some reason. it's bugging me, usually i'm all jumpy about getting pses and having a semi-schedule set up to make sure we hit all our must-sees. this time i have one ps (so far), and i need to get my butt in gear! time's a-wastin'!!!

my boys do have pirate stuff, and i think a few playmobile pirate figures, though i'm not positive that's the brand. we had a pirate theme for ds' 6th birthday, and i made a pirate ship cake, putting pirate action figures on top. :goodvibes

ds also got a pirate ship (toy) at one time, and it required a bit of assembly. it takes up a lot of space and his "little bother" kept taking it apart, so i haven't seen that in awhile. :rotfl:

i know you did, i saw your post! i'm soooo ready to see it!!! :rotfl:

i admit i am a little afraid this trip. what if i really like it so that i always want to come back at this time of year? we hate crowds, we prefer quieter times of year (and cheaper, too!) am i going to HAVE to come back every december after this??? :lmao:

THats what Im hoping. Once we thought of it, we seriously felt like morons for not thinking of it sooner. Its totally her, and with Alex having a PSP... Both of my kids have something to keep them occupied without fighting with each other.

It was DELISH! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Two thumbs up! I managed to throw down a big scoop of the mac-n-cheese.. Amazing. The pizza was so good to.
