Even though everyone meets at my grandma's for Christmas I just buy for my parents and my sister and brother. I usually bake something for the other family members. I don't know what to get DBF. Loys of ideas but I know he'll go buy the things he want/needs before Christmas. I wanted to get him the Monster Energy riding gear but we found it on sale so he bought it already. He does still ened the gloves though...

Busy busy busy cleaning, laundering and gathering last-minute items to pack. GEESH, we collect a lot of clutter! DH emptied the big kitchen garbage can last night, and I filled it up again today with junk.

Like that plastic tumbler that DS4 decorated with colored tissue paper and glitter in a toddler art class a few years ago. And the cute little jam jar I was saving to do... something with. And a bunch of different brands of baby sunscreen, all of which DS4 has a reaction to.

Oh, but guess what? DS8 came home from school today, and as I was cruising through his reading log and school work agenda, there was a little note at the bottom of today's date. He'd written "bring jar". I said, "You were supposed to bring a jar to school today?" He said no. I pointed to his note and said, "It says right here, 'bring jar'. So what? Are you supposed to bring a jar to school tomorrow?" He said yes.

So I had him go out to the kitchen and grab that little jam jar; I was going to throw it in the recycle, so it never actually made it into the garbage; how convenient!

Yeah, I have to say DH is much less sentimental than I am. Life would be much simpler for me if I were a chucker, but I'm a packrat. But I'm not near as bad as my mom or sister.
