But I'll admit I still return to Chicago for theater and to dose up on my favorite foods (Pepe's Tacos, Chicago hot dogs and pizza, and most of all, Lawrys The Prime Rib...mmmmmm!). We don't miss Carsons Ribs too much because they have overnight delivery...just had a ribs party with some fellow relocated Chicagoans the other day.

Hells bells, whenever DH and I go to USF, he uses his Premier pass for our free valet parking and I use mine to get whoever happens to be behind us a freebie...they just love suddenly discovering that they've saved $20! If they're upset about a lousy unused mug, I'll bet the "Disney Police" on that board would beat me to a pulp for that.

Oh good greif. I'm usually the one pointing out that the mugs are for the lenght of stay only etc. However the OP has no intention of using the mugs at all during their stay. I see nothing wrong with giving the mugs to someone at their resort

Funny thing is that usually if the question is "can I reuse the mug" everyone says "go ahead no problem, they won't check to see when you bought it and you paid good money for it".
I've been jumped on for pointing out that both the receipt and the signs say lenght of stay.

Truth is Disney doesn't care if you resuse the mugs from one trip to the next ... we've seen tons of people using old mugs, mugs from other resorts and even Big Gulp mugs from 7-11 without Disney CMs batting an eye. The only people who truly care and make a big deal about it are people on the Disboards.

I have pretty much ignored the Universal comparision and the "Thug" threads.

I like WDW for what it is.
I Like Universal and IOA for what they are. I don't compare.

But I will say, I felt REALLLLLLY bad for the Crew member today who had to argue with the "guests" in front of me. They wanted to take pictures with the characters holding beer bottles. The poses they finally came up with could have qualified them "thug". A short time later security was called for guest "behavior" in a Super Hero line. The poor photographer was doing her best to form and keep a line-but it just was not happening.

That said-we had fun at IOA. We got to name a baby raptor LOL
