This may sound like a silly question, but for those of you who stayed at the Tropicana, do you remember if they have a lot of electrical outlets in the rooms? The only reason I'm asking is because we're going with 3 separate families (total of 10) and we're getting 3 separate rooms. Nine of us have a cell phone that will need charging daily in addition to digital cameras and video cameras. There's also a portable DVD player, Ipods and portable video games that will probably need charging. Just wondering if we should bring along a power strip.

Hi!

I've stayed there a few times. The last time was in 2003. They have remodeled it since then. I've enjoyed each stay and loved the convience of the location being right across the street to Disneyland's maingate! I don't remember there being a lot of outlets but I know there are some. You could always unplug the lamps if needed more. I know there is an outlet in the bathroom area but I would say you would be safe if you brought a powerstrip.

I hope you have a magical DISNEY vacation:dance3:

I would definitely bring a power strip. I love the Tropicana, cannot remember if it had any more or less in the way of outlets, but I have learned not to travel without my power strip!

Thanks for the quick responses! I will definitely bring along a power strip and let the other 2 families know too. One more question...my son wants to bring his laptop. Is there a way to get wireless internet in the rooms? If not, he's willing to pay for internet service. Would any of you know the cost?

Yup, both dh and I charged our cell phones during our stay there in June. We charged them near the bathroom area, didn't look for outlets anywhere else though.

As far as I know they do not have any wireless internet service there.

Let's see, we were there in July...it was a nice hotel with a great location....anyway, ummm, there are a set of plugs in the bathroom area by the sink, one on the wall between the bed and actual toilet area, one on the wall by the desk where the lamp plugs in and another one behind the TV that is full with the TV and the fridge, there is also one behind the table between the beds....It has the clock and the lamp plugged into it. So, there are at least 3 that you can use easily and 1 that is a little harder to get to.

Have fun!!
