Another Travelin' Song - Three Weeks in Orlando - MAJOR UPDATE IN FIRST POST!

We went to visit family in Brooklyn, specifically to go ride the Cyclone. DH has done it many times....me and DD9 never. So we really wanted to do it. Well, after a nice visit/lunch with the relatives, we drove over to Cooney Island and the skies broke open. We knew the storm was coming. We sat in the cars a bit and waited, but the thunder and lightning did not let up. We will be going back to visit them a lot sooner that we thought....I am riding the Cyclone this year!! After that we stopped in an old favorite...Rollin Roaster...for a quick bite to eat, went back to their house and left. It was after 6 already and we had a ride ahead of us, but DD9 says she wants to stop in Manhattan and walk around a bit. She is a girl after my own heart! I can see how much she loves the city, too. It was funny...she was in the back and had the 2 year old asking "Can we just park and walk around?" too! After driving around a bit - DH always drives by where his grandma used to live and a few other places to reminisce - we got out and walked a few blocks. We were near the Flat Iron building. Had a cup of coffee, the girls had a snack, looked around a bit, explored a few places, and left the city about 9 to head home. The little one was soooooo tired. Me too! We are going back in a few weeks. We have a relative coming from Europe so we will be taking her in to see some of the touristy things. But at least I've had my fill on NYC until then.......I LOVE that place!!!

Aw, I'm still so excited for you guys :goodvibes Are you gonna share the sex of the baby with all of us when the time comes or keep it private?

Of course I will tell all of you! I'm not good at secrets...that's why y'all already know I'm pregnant. I was going to wait until after the first appointment! :rotfl:

 Definitely keep us updated! And to think... by the time you have the baby we'll only have 3 months left until our trip! :woohoo: Heather, you're going through the entire process of having a baby before we even leave. UGH! Have you decided if the babies room will be Disney themed? ;)

That is pretty crazy when you think of it that way lol. I don't know about the theme yet. I just want to get this first appointment over with to make sure everything is okay!

Just wait until you get to see that little peanut on the screen for the first time! And hear the heartbeat! It's amazing! Good luck with the pregnancy girl! :)

Yay!!!! on booking the house!! You must be so excited. I hope it goes by fast for you. Keep posting info. on here as you get it.

I'm not sure when we'll go back. August is pretty busy, especially the weekends. I think we might go to Atlantic City this weekend. We're going to Lake George for a few days mid-month and then it's off to Disney at the end. It might have to wait until Sept. Is it open past Labor Day? What about AstroLand?

Mini golf, Great Escape and Minnie Ha Ha...those are the "usual" things we do. We also love to eat at the Log Jam while we're there. It's somewhere across from the outlets. I haven't been to the caves. I will have to look up that.

Thank you! I am so excited (and nervous) about that part. I just can't wait to see it!

It's crazy and sad on my end :sad2:  When's your first doctor appointment? I LOVE that story of telling you parents, it's so cute and worked out so perfectly :goodvibes

My appointment is August 6th! :bored:

Pre-Trip Update: Guess What I Just Did...

Any guesses? It involves the trip and something I've been meaning to do for a while...

:rolleyes1

I BOOKED THE HOUSE! :woohoo: :woohoo: I've been meaning to send in the deposit since oh say, April, but I kept forgetting. Plus April was a little excessive considering it was still 15 months before the trip  Now that we're less than a year away, I'm psyched that we were able to send in the deposit. It was only $100 and my mom had some money on her PayPal account so we used that and then paid the rest. I'm so excited! We're set for July 24 - August 15, 2009. We're going to Disney World!

:woohoo: :cheer2: :dance3:  :woohoo: :cheer2: :dance3:

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: Soooo exciting!! Makes it really seem real, huh?? Yay for you!
