Another Ticket Question

We are going to WDW in November for a quick trip. We had planned on purchasing a one day park hopper. We really want to spend most of our time relaxing at the resort, pool, etc. I had planned on purchasing our tix once we get there but that means we cannot do our FP choices at 60 days out. I can purchase the tickets now, however, I was thinking if the weather should be too cold to hang at the pool, we may want to be in the parks instead. So my question...if we buy the park hopper can we upgrade or change it to a 2-day single park ticket when we check in? Obviously, we won't know the weather forecast until that time. If we can, will that change or cancel out our FP selections?

You can upgrade the ticket once there until the park closes on the day you use it.

Your FPs will remain as scheduled. The MDE has a built-in safety net for FPs. Even when a ticket has been removed, the FPs remain in the system for a fairly long period of time. An upgraded ticket will link to your MDE Profile/account where your FPs are linked.

Since the ticket is separate, you will need to upgrade it at guest relations outside any park. The resort will see the wrong price if you do it there. You can only do fastpasses for days you have tickets. It's one thing that really sucks about this new system.
