A co worker and I are in Orlando for a convention. I made ADRs at Boma last night. This was a first time for both of us. We loved it. Outstanding atmosphere. I was a bit nervous because I've read about "pods" instead of a buffet line. It was still a buffet line but split. Not really what I had envisioned but the food more than made up for that. I loved the Kola pork. It had very interesting flavors. I also really loved the corn salad, the salmon (i'm not usually big on salmon either) and the coconut trimasu. I asked for the recipe and they handed me a slip of paper to fill out my address and email and said they send me the recipe for anything i wrote on the paper.

Fantastic!

Thanks for posting!

How was the salmon prepared?

When we were there in November, the sauce was a really bitter curry flavor. I like very strong flavors so this was disappointing.

The three sauces for the prime rib were excellent though!

Glad you enjoyed it! :goodvibes

I can't get enough of that stuff! (it's a spiced sweet potato-like dish)

We don't let the kids get chicken fingers and such when we're at Boma. Try new things, find new love!

Steve

Food=love

The salmon was a mustard encrusted something, very mild with a sweet taste. The blended flavors were outstanding.

Glad you enjoyed it! I have only eaten there once (well, once for dinner, once for breakfast) and I actually DREAM about that place...I told DH that we must make a point to get over there on our next trip. I think it is FABULOUS...what unique foods they serve!!!

We ate there last September and I loved everything EXCEPT the salmon. Not sure if they have changed it since then, but it had a very strong spice that I didn't care for. But that's not enough to make me not want to go back. I loved everything else...Especially the deep fried oreos!!! Thanks, TJ!!!

Thanks for a great posting. We loved Boma when we went in Dec. I also enjoyed the salmon. Can't wait until my family goes back in August. We're also going to try their buffet breakfast, I've heard many good things about it. :thumbsup2

Take care,
Raina

We will be eating there for the first time in Sep. Loved hearing about it. Should I tke the bus from Ak to get there? I figured that would be our ak day and we would just buzz over ther to eat. Staying at coronado

I love Boma's! I'm not a buffet fan but Boma's and Trail's End are my favorites!

Right now I'm dreaming of carrot ginger soup. I must have had two or three bowls when we were there last week. The coconut tiramisu was also delish. I wish I hadn't filled up so much on the soup because I didn't try any fu fu this time and my husband was raving about it (again). They did have ribs the night we were there and they were very spicy but very good. I only wish they would have given us wet naps to clean our hands because I hate using a cloth napkins on that kind of a mess. My only regret is that we only ate there once on our last trip.

Okay, stop! Your making me hungry! :teeth:

We also really liked Boma. The thing we appreciated was the ability to take small portions at first and then go back for more later if we really liked it. Not everybody liked everything, but even my sister who didn't like a thing there had enough fruit and such. My sister who is really picky about meat loved the prime rib at Boma. We all enjoyed the meal and I thought the desserts were the easily the best buffet desserts we had all week and some of my favorite desserts overall.
